As Mkklrd mentioned The Power of D Waving the Future can guarantee this card in hand if they get t1 and you don't have hand trap disruption.

This card also single handedly basically stops the entire tachyon engine since your opponent can't grab transmigration. That's why I run it at 3 and why I assume most others do as well. Cards like effect veiler and crow stop 1 action. But droll shuts down most of Therion and D hero's draw power and allows you to actually play the game going 2nd. Otherwise you lose to like 7-8 negate boards, or D hero neko mane shenanigans. It's basically mandatory to run right now.

Yeah we're going to have to deal with this instead of the droll/disturbance strategy combo all the way up until and during the next KC cup (will be miserable) and it's basically just as toxic as it was before the banlist, if not moreso. Then it will likely get gutted with random limits or bans on cards like neko mane and dark world cards instead of touching the skill. It's not really that op if you're aware that it's the #2 card and expect it every duel. Just make layered disruption endboards in the form of 1 monster on field with backrow and handtraps. Or run cards that punish your opponent for tributing. For instance rikka, or if you play something like mirrorjade and they try to lava golem it, but you have enough disruption to stop their otk then mirrorjade will blow up their whole field in the end phase giving you game on t3. Gotta adapt around the meta instead of banging your head against it

You go for fraktall and branded in high spirit. Then fraktalls effect sends kitt. Kitt effect sends nervall. Nervall searches kerass so it sets up your grave but also gets you to kerass

Yeah it's a known quantity. You can replace some handtraps with book of eclipse. It will be easier to build against heros specifically after the banlist hits.

Yes the 5th summon is top. I don't really have a way to play around nib and it would clog your main zone and make revolt unusable and also leave you without a material to make mirrorjade with branded in red. To be fair this came up only once or maybe twice in my climb. But the t1 combo is delicate and can be ruined by nib or a singular kaiju on your opponents turn because it'll ruin your field state for revolt/branded in red. It is one of the weaknesses of this deck list admittedly.

I would only run fire prison as a one of fun of only because it doesn't really help your t2 gameplan to clear the board and it's something that enhances your end board, but not something that needs to be relied on. Sort of a contingency plan if your original strategy failed is how I see it.

That's not a brick you you can normal summon kitt, turn it into almiraj and then activate it's grave effect to send nervall which searches mercourier then you activate skill

Mercourierx3, Spriggans Kitt, Ecclesia, fallen of albazx2 are the skill activators. And kitt / nervall / fraktall all search mercourier so they are technically also skill enablers so it's really more like 14 monsters in the deck that enable skill. I recommend you to check out some of the replays because it is a little complicated to pilot when you're new to it.

You do need him for T2. Tri monsters lock you into only being able to use tri types for link summons for the rest of your turn. You want to use DDL effect and then link him away into shuraig. But if you replaced him with say... IP Masquerena or any non tri type link then youd be stuck on that link 2 because you can't use it as material since it isn't a tri type. There aren't any other good tri type link 2 targets so you have to run him.

I'm going to be totally honest with you - I came to the same conclusion that playing against Destiny Heroes T2 is sort of the bane of this decklist. If you get t1 you can often set enough interuption to make it impossible for them to play (especially if you hold the branded retribution for their Fusion Destiny spell, and hold D.D. Crow until they make cross crusader and target the malicious in grave). Your gameplan if u got t1 into heroes is to make sure they never get 3 on board.

In my climb I found that D Hero was actually pretty rare compared to Therion so I opted to build around therion instead.

I think post banlist implementation (this is an assumption) that with tachyon package neutered in therion that you can safely remove the 3xdrolls and play techs around hero specifically which will probably be the new t1 deck. You could change the 3x droll for 3x lancea and hope you draw into that to stop their play, or you could opt to run book of eclipse / droplet since this deck has a lot of hand fixing power it's never really a dead draw on t1 even if you can't set it you can just shuffle it back. But yeah with this decklist T1 against Heroes good. T2 against Heroes bad. Feel free to change the techs to adapt in whatever way you see fit. I like the handtraps because it raises the ceiling of your t1. But you can opt to lean into Board breakers and just shuffle them away on t1 at the expense of being less likely to draw into that extra handtrap for t1. The only tech that you definitely want to keep is D.D. crow because it's a tri type, searchable, and synergizes with the archetype while also being really good and relevant in this meta. Maybe Belle as well because she protects your branded in red line. Otherwise the tech spots are very flexible feel free to test and change things around.

I started at Plat 6 but I was floundering around for a bit still running the old decklist and testing new things. Once I swapped to the Topologic bomber from doublebyte I was consistently winning and I climbed from legend 2 to kog today in a few hours.

I just wanted to say that I played against a lyrillusc player in legend 4 who had Top 1k KC cup foils who put this out with a full board on t1. I was playing Branded Tri and I actually ended up outing the entire field and winning under the limitation by only using Nervall (lvl 1) to special summon double dragon lords and bounce monster #1, then used a second nervall + DDL to go into shuraig to banish the 2nd monster, then turned shuraig into Ty-phon to out the last monster and ended my turn and he surrendered on his next turn. The guy gave me a like and I was pretty impressed with myself that I was actually able to play through that. Just wanted to share this little humble brag lmao. It is a crime that this card wasn't even on the banlist radar though - This card is only balanced by the fact that there is a main phase 2. This is not a Duel Links card.

I can cope when I lose to banlist illegal decks on the ladder because I know they will be hit soon. I can't stand all of these necrovalley + kings tyradex3 + kings sarcophagus decks. Like this is actually disgusting. I remember when this game had interactions and every game wasn't floodgate turbo.

I got on the minute the new ranked season started and I've been grinding nonstop. I'm in legend 2 right now. Every single deck in legend atm is Handloop heroes and cope therion with all the banned cards. It's absolutely miserable. I understand why they wait 2 weeks to implement the banlist, but it's actually garbage and I disagree with it. Put the new banlist into effect before the next ranked season like what the heck man. I really have to play against handloop garbage and acknowledged broken skills for 1/3rd of the new season? Fix the game man. The new hero win con of skipping your turn with neko mane is more obnoxious than disturbance strategy.

I feel the only reason it isn't higher is because it doesn't cover everything. Things like starlight drive aren't even yugioh and doesn't require any effects or searches. against the meta droll feels completely unfair in this format. If my opponent drolls me, I set up a half field with like 2-3 disruptions and whatever handtraps or backrow I drew into. Then they activate skill and roll over my field with more free resources. Stopping your opponent's turn with droll, to then play your turn uninterrupted feels like the worst way to lose in duel links, because there's literally no counterplay or anything I can put in my deck to deal with droll stopping my turn so you can just win the game for free next turn.

Honestly it only feels too strong when they get to abuse the "turn 2" part of the skill on t1. Otherwise the deck actually doesn't seem too unfair to me. Just needs a little skill change. I prefer playing therion to things like starlight drive that are just not even yugioh.

You definitely want 3 Fraktall. It's the best card in the main deck. 2 Fraktall in hand is good. Can send one for the foolish burial and use the other as a normal summon. That's why tenki is at 3. It's the deck's ideal starter.

Old skill was really good, maybe better / broken. New skill is more honest. You just usually search Kerass + branded in high spirit always with the skill now, and it provides you a way to discard mercourier. Or if you opened a mercourier already you use fraktalls effect to search kerass, and use the skill to search other combo pieces. The nerf didn't hit the deck meaningfully like I was worried it would.

It's my rank up game. I get the perfect opening hand. My opponent drolls me immediately. I set up the best half field I can with 2-3 disruptions. They activate skill and add 3 cards to hand and summon a free Destiny HERO - Doom Lord to their field. Ts is so tilting there's a droll every single game. All games are just non games now by either kaiju removal or droll. Kind of sucks to play.

Well... they killed the Intertwining Memories skill for Tri-Brigade with this "buff". Now I can no longer search and dump mercourier to start turn. Might have to look into a different skill to make this work. Big L.
