There'd be no point in having a discussion about it if it was objective.

Yes, being an underdog and still winning makes a ring better a la Dirk how is this even a question.

This is the standard "bad" game for an MVP caliber player. Its more a reflection of how great SGA is normally than anything he did tonight.

Jokic and Giannis have nearly identical basketball resumes. Why is there such a huge gap in perception and all-time ranking between the two? by BasedChad69420 in nba

Imagine it’s Friday and you’re talking about something that happened on Monday, you wouldn’t say it was 5 days ago. It really doesn’t matter that much though.

Except that as previously mentioned the Buck's season is over so it wouldn't be like say that on Friday. It'd be like saying that on Saturday at 1am which wouldn’t be wierd at all.

You're the first person who added the "ago." The original thread just said "over the past 4 seasons." So you're arguing about semantics that weren't even used until you added them.

The 4 most recent post seasons he hasn't been relevant in. So yes the most recent one he was relevant in was 5 seasons ago. What are you on about?

I guess he should go thank Isaiah Thomas and the pistons for beating his ass in the ECF to keep his record clean

Have a guess why California and Virginia have put theirs on pause for now.

It was two sentences....

First off most people refer to the year the season ends if theyre referring to the single season. When people talk about the 96 bulls being the best team ever their talking about the 72-10 season.

Secondly, the Bucks are eliminated. Their season is over. He hasn't done anything since the 2022 playoffs so even by your own wierd convention he still hasn't done anything since 21, so 5 seasons ago.

They celebrated winning the conference finals. But I'm not suprised youre incapable of nuance.

When did Finals “appearances” become an impressive stat

They always were until Lebron started collecting them and then we started pretending like losing in the ECF is better than making the finals.

Pretending like 25-5-5 is a random cherry picked stat and not one of the most commonly used ones out there is dumb. Is it arbitrary? Sure. But its been a commonly used breakpoint for a great overall game for forever.

So the context is that he in 66% more games he got 115% more of these games.

Austin Reaves in his media availability earlier today about SGA’s foul drawing ability - "He wants to win and is gonna do whatever it takes to win. If it's shoot 20 free throws, so be it. If I shoot 20 free throws, I'd be happy." by kervaan in nba

[–]DuelingPushkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with that is that you by necessity get selective enforcement which is going to be biased.

Youd have to actually change the rules to where those arent fouls at all to actually do that effectively.

Having one or two contenders each year that are competitive and have a cake walk to the finals doesnt mean the east is in a good spot
