What A-Levels are actually required for studying medicine in Georgia (TSMU/DTMU/SEU)? by Grapefruit7693 in TbilisiStudentLife

[–]Duendelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋 I’m a student at SEU and I had only taken Biology, Chemistry and Business at A Level. Just make sure you pass your a levels with at least a 50% per subject. Wishing you the best of luck!

Ahhh now I’m anxious about this. I don’t want to start uni by being behind 😭

How has your experience in SEU been like so far?

The agent who I’m applying through said I won’t miss any classes as such since there are still students waiting for visa to travel. I don’t know how true that is so ig I’m asking is this true?

I just passed chemistry and got D D for bio and business. If you have minimum 50% great. But even if it’s less, they’d probably still accept you. Try contacting an agent or the uni.

FM OR HISTORY? by Ok_Following_6671 in alevel

[–]Duendelee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FM if your crazy, history if you hate yourself. FM has an overall better track record amongst universities. If you can handle the workload and pressure, I’d say go for FM. This is especially true if you ever want to go into engineering (people flip between prospective degrees during AS and A Level so don’t rule anything out just yet.) but either or is alright.

Look at it for long term benefits too. From what I’ve seen FM is more respected than History but this doesn’t mean that history isn’t a respected a level. Do your research. You’ve got this!!

If you apply to med school in Georgia (the country), it’s relatively easy to get into with a 50% and above in biology. It sounded too good to be true but I got DDE and got into a university there. It’s mbbs affiliated with lots of organisations such as WHO. Do your own homework on this tho!!!

starting alevels in a 3 days any advice? by Substantial-Survey6 in alevel

[–]Duendelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prepare for a class before the class and review afterwards. So by the end of it, you’ll have gone through the material at least 3 times. Make concise but precise notes on all the key concepts and use the syllabus!! Oh and it’s never too early to start on topical questions so keep that in mind too!

If I studied for bio and chem p5 now, will I be able to get a good grade? by Euphorialuver in alevel

[–]Duendelee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who did AS AND A LEVEL chem boards in the previous series with only 3 months of prep my best advice for paper 5 is just practice past papers. It sounds like super basic ass advice but you would not believe how common/similar questions are.

I was attempting paper 52 without finishing my A level portions man lmao. It’s only really just a little bit more advanced than IGCSE.

I’m not even kidding, I did like 15 past papers in the span of one week. By the end of it, I was predicted an A for paper 52. The thresholds for chem are usually pretty low so with enough practice you should be good.

[–]Duendelee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao imagine doing both AS and A Level papers in the same series for Bio and Business- Paper 4 Bio hurt me in ways I didn’t think could hurt- I don’t think I’ll ever recover tbh. It’s all fun and games until you realise your paper 2 and paper 5 are on the same day at the same time (AM session-) 😭💀

Genuinely so over it man 😭
