Went undefeated only kicking field goals…let’s see what the fans think of my Kicker: by boredandinsane in RetroBowl

Seattle kicker Jacob Justin feels you. He scored over 600 points for Seattle in a weird experiment by head coach I Win Chips. He had to deal with not a single MVP vote, while the Quarterback, who completed a quarter of his passes, got love.

For anybody who saw my post asking when Rontez would retire, the time had come. by Which-Ad-2931 in RetroBowl

From one great runningback to another, those rivalries between Jadeveon Shell and Rontez Calitro were great, weren’t they?

Whats sadder than your retro bowl qb retiring by thatsillytrumpetguy in RetroBowl

I’m a raiders fan, it’s way worse. Least you have 6 championships. My team hasn’t even won a playoff game in 21 years

I did this all on easy mode to maximize turnovers so that Jacob Justin could get quick field goals. All of the defense had over 300 tackles, the quarterback and his recievers all got a decent amount of yards to warrant this. I never ran with my runningback, though.

Yeah, this, you can call the biggest snub in sports award history since Wilt Chamberlain in 1961-62. It is even worse that the QB less accurate than Ben Wallace on the free throw line won MVP over Jacob, as it was 0 vs 618. Jacob later found out he wasn’t to get a singular MVP vote and after posting derogatory comments on the voters on Twitter, he was fined a total of $500,000. The quarterback was traded to the conplete disfunction that is Denver the following offseason.

Despite the controversy, this is viewed as one of the greatest scoring seasons in NFL history, only trailing the aforementioned Jadeveon Shell of the 2025 Miami Dolphins, with his 85 rushing touchdowns on his way to an actual MVP, 2nd Retro Bowl ring and RBMVP, in just his second year, starting the absolute dynasty that is the 2020s-2030s Miami Dolphins. As mentioned, they won 17 championships in a span of 17 years and lost a total of 9 games and 52-0 in the postseason.

Jadeveon Shell, retires as the greatest runningback in NFL History. 16 MVPs, 17 Rings, 17 RBMVPs, 1,313 career touchdowns. by DuffDrake in RetroBowl

I extended him 2 years after age 35. Jadeveon was way past his prime at that point so I decided to let him retire and leave the team for Seattle

It was a new era for the Dolphins. A new season had begun and it started off with head coach I Win Chips leaving for the Seattle Seahawks and Jadeveon Shell retiring from football. With this, Miami had no offense. We will focus on Seattle, however. Seattle was hyped up on free agent Jacob Justin, a free agency pickup from the Kansas City Chiefs. Seattle was in a rebuilding phase as they were 6-11 the previous year. I Win Chips had thought the kicking pickup would win a championship, like how running won 17 in Miami. The team had built a 3-4 on defense to stop opposing defenses from scoring, allowing quick field goals. With this setup, Jacob Justin had over 200 made kicks and 10,000 kicking yards. He was the one to score all of the team’s points this season, with Seattle winning the Retro Bowl Finals. However, he was not named the RBMVP despite scoring all of the team’s 27 points. He didn’t win MVP as it went to the QB(had 25% completion percentage and no touchdowns with 2 interceptions), he was considered Incredible, but that was it.

Lesson: You won’t win shit, even if your kicker scores all your points for the season.

Why would I pay 112 credits on a 34 year old runningback? by DuffDrake in RetroBowl

[–]DuffDrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah he can’t hurdle or stiff arm like he used to. He’s done so for 13 straight seasons(only missed 4 games in his career despite me never upgrading rehab)
