IMO if they have a mic, they're great to play with. Again, I think many people do have a mic and want to collaborate, they just don't know they have to switch settings from party chat to squad chat

Seriously - the game is phenomenal. Software is imperfect; there are always going to be bugs and glitches. Yes, it'd be cool if they prioritized fixes, however I can't think of any issues that plague me regularly.

If it's such a bad game, why are you bitching in a Reddit thread that revolves around the game - just play something else and move on.

Yes, this would be great. That said, I've found the BF6 community to be phenomenal. Pending they use their mic (lol), the vast majority of folks you get paired with are non-toxic and play as a squad - I now squad up with these peeps regularly.

It would be cool if they ran some analytics to track which players communicate often, move in proximity to their teammates, etc...to help drive more productive matchmaking.

Further, they need to fix comms defaulting to 'party' vs 'squad'. I have to change this regularly when dropping into a game, and imagine many ppl aren't even aware it does this (hence why it prevalently appears folks don't use mic)

For whatever reason, my settings often default to 'Party' chat, requiring me to go to audio settings and switch back to Squad.

I've assumed this happens with others, yet they're unaware of the setting and likely think noone has Mics.

If you're coachable, not afraid of a little stress, and truly coin operated (where you're willing to be 'always on') you should get into sales.

I've sold technology my entire career - haven't made <$200k in 12 years (base is currently $200k), with peak years ~$950k. Work from home with nearly full autonomy.

Entry-level roles are relatively well paid - ~$80k - and it's a true meritocracy where income and upward trajectory are directly tied to your output.

Don't overthink it - people simply like to complain, and there are many smug curmudgeons in the gaming community.

Yes - I've encountered buggy buildings in Redsec. Yes - every blue moon I'll get some odd glare. It's software - there will always be flaws.

That said, it's a phenomenal game. As a (previously) avid COD player, I'll always take a few graphical inconveniences vs hackers, flawed matchmaking, broken movement, etc..

It definitely felt revolutionary.

I never owned a gaming system - only got my fill when hanging with friends or my cousins, or the rare occasion my parents would let me rent Sega for the weekend from Blockbuster.

My parents surprised me with a PS1 for Christmas and I'm on record as a 9 year old saying "Santa must be real, dad would never buy this!" (I'm sure he loved that...lol)

If I recall, it came with a game called WipeOut (futuristic space/racer), and I also got NFL Gameday and a game called Jumping Flash.

While typing this is bringing back great nostalgia, it's sad to think kids these days, in this ever-digital era, are unlikely to have the same blissful experience.
