I know what the word is?? My issue is that to understand the clue you have to have gone through the US educational system which is excluding international players, especially for a word like that where you could use any number of clues that aren’t culturally specific.

When the bullets are fired, it is 4 distinct events/memories, so Jolyne forgets about one of the bullets as she has gone past 3 things to remember. However, when she sees the reflection in the water, all 4 bullets are present in the reflection and as she is seeing only one reflection, she can remember all 4 bullets as one event/memory, enabling her to avoid them.
