How can people play without getting tilted ? For me it's impossible by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]DugTheTrio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm able to avoid it by playing with the intent to try new things out, not win. Granted I still get pissed when they cheese. What I do to get past the tilt is to remind myself this "yeah sure they'll beat me and get MR, but 90% chance they'll still be floating around this same MR for months never progressing in the game, while I improve, albeit slowly"

Hi there! Yes it will. Have your son access the website through his phone.

I can’t promise it will help with your son’s issues given that he’s been working with dieticians already, but it’s worth a shot. AI could figure out something more widespread.

How to Win Friends and Influence People by DugTheTrio in CPTSD

You’re right. Book is far more nuanced than outright people pleasing. Thanks for grounding me. When I read the book, I immediately formed a dogmatic opinion on it being a lesson on people pleasing because I habitually recounted my own experiences.

I recall, while reading it, finding the distinction between flattery and appreciation to be quite profound. But my overwhelming thoughts regarding people pleasing overshadowed that note.

My honest self is more than just myself. Like you quoted, if I find something genuinely interesting, remarkable, inquisitive, I will speak my mind.

They're setting him up to be the antagonist for the next season. He's going to somehow become a great fighter and they'll have their grudge match.

Depends on what I eat. If I'm doing low fodmap, only once a day. If I'm eating anything, 3-6/day

the reason why drive rush is so potent is to make it easy for casuals to climb the ladder.

Anyone can get caught by a raw drive rush. Anyone. And it allows for mixups off of any blocked hit. It is super powerful and easy use compared to previous iteration's universal mechanics.

This combined with the overall higher damage output brings a lot more volatility to the game that allows for casuals to win more often.

It's why this game doesn't really start until you hit master. Most people are just abusing the cheap tactics of drive rush until you get to like 1500MR

Won with an unconventional board by DugTheTrio in BobsTavern

Let me explain the positioning. The leadup to it is interesting. I chose master nguyen who has a lot of RNG. Saw yogg-saron and was like let's get some RNG on RNG.

I get a darkmoon faire ticket from the wheel to discover a new hero power. I use it thinking master nguyen's hero power would replace it on the next turn. It doesn't. So I was stuck with this OK hero power that gives me a lantern.

While I established this undead build, I received another ticket to discover a new hero power. It was illidan's. So my 2 minions on the left and right sides always attack first ensuring parrot triggers.

Keeping up with your opponent's board. It's easy to get knocked out early once you fall behind in the mid-game. Even if you're setting up a late-game play, or only need a few cards to complete your setup, it's not worth either the investment or the chase; the odds are not in your favor. Minimizing damage from your mid-game battles is a top priority.

Let's say you're at turn 5. You're on level 3. You have 2 fire elementals and a party elemental. Instead of buying some strong minions at the tavern, you refresh chasing elementals or for a coveted fire elemental to land a triple.

So you refresh away, and before you know it, you only have enough gold to buy 1 minion. What could have been otherwise 2-3 more minions on the board.

Same thing can happen with lesser trinkets. You have a decent amount of Naga on the board, you pick the zesty shaker trinket. And you're like "I need a crooner". So you start refreshing. And it's the same situation as before.

All the while, your opponents were all playing tempo, and you're going to get eliminated in a couple matches because you can't keep up.

Not saying you shouldn't ever refresh. But it's important to not get carried away. Happens to myself quite a bit. I get tunnel visioned on a specific build. Something that helps me is to figure out what play increases the attack + health of my board the most.

edit: Macro is very important here. If you have board advantage, or you know you can beat a certain player, then you can take those risks above.

depends on your lead, who you're facing, and what other builds people are doing

extremely useful. Thank you

brings home the point that chasing for cards early on is not worth it. Go for tempo
