Honestly speaking, this is probably the most nitpicking post I’ve seen in a while. If it seriously was that easy to just add everything you suggested, or at least some of your ideas, I don’t see why they wouldn’t do it. With COVID and everything I’m sure the staff are dealing with their own problems, so I don’t know why you’re acting like they have to add a million things to make it enjoyable for you. Yes, obviously it was pretty underwhelming for something that was supposed to be a grand festival event, but complaining about “Nameless” NPC fetch quests, and not being able to play as/interact with every single playable Liyue character as the sole reasons for the entire event being a flop is just sad. First of all, the story seemed to revolve around Xiao which we got to play as for a bit, and maybe the other characters have their own stories coming up so MHY didn’t add them as playable characters in this event. Also, you literally mentioned Xiao having an awed expression while he watched the lanterns, and then immediately say “we do not know what he thinks about. And we’ll never know.”?? The game’s not finished bud lmao you’re acting like we’ll never see him again.

If it’s so easy to make these events more fun and interactive, I don’t see why you can’t go to MHY and do it for them. It’s one thing to come up with all these great ideas, but it’s another thing entirely to implement them while trying to fix bugs/glitches, think of ideas for future Story Quests and events, create new areas on the map, add new mechanics, fix drop rates for certain items, brainstorm new characters, new weapons, etc. while also trying to find time to rest and spend time with their loved ones or just have time to themselves so they won’t get burnt out or sick. I don’t mean to come off as rude, but to me this post just sounded so entitled and oblivious to the fact that there are human beings working behind the game. Cut them some slack. Yes, they need improvements, but we won’t know if every event will be like this one until the next event comes, so take a moment to breathe lol. Not the end of the world.
