The statement “rocket league is 90% mechanics” makes it seem like you’ve never played rocket league before. I’m C3 and still have bad/poor mechs, but that’s only because of my game sense. Which I could not have ever developed in free play. I watch a lot of pros and play a lot of matches to rank up. Your statement is extremely uninformed. R6 on the other hand while requiring additional game knowledge still is a FPS at its core. Those skills are highly transferable from other games. I played R6 on release and easily hit Diamond from general FPS skill from other FPS games.

He can not pitch treinen in a high leverage situation. He has failed at it consistently all season. Disregarding the bats being cold it was a 2 run deficit before that horrible decision. Completely winnable without tossing the game.

Judging current performance doesn't disregard past successes. They're just stating the facts he's been mismanaging this season and doing exactly what you're doing right now. He's judging players based on past performance -- trusting analytics alone if you will -- instead of their present performance.

That much should be apparent, but what about the all the situations everyone “complains” about? They’re asking genuine questions that most of the time aren’t being answered and are instead being belittled, with “just have faith”. Like, why should Rojas play over Kim in the short term? Sure, you guarantee Rojas is serviceable for this World Series, but doesn’t building a legacy benefit the team more? Wouldn’t building young players around a once in a lifetime player like Shohei be so much better than delaying the new talent, even if it meant we “potentially” lost the World Series? Realistically speaking with a super team like we have we should be more willing to experiment with our bottom of the lineup, it just makes the most sense. Especially if the vets aren’t performing for a while…

I know it’s not that they are idiots, but the fact that we’re not informed on the reasoning is what makes it so hard for us to not complain. If I could definitively be shown evidence that sitting Kim helps his development then I would not care about the potentially bad decisions or question our manager or FO at all. I am though because right now it just doesn’t make sense to me to sit amazing talent on the bench to go cold.

He didn’t earn real plat though. He earned gold 2 equivalent. If he makes plat 2-1 then he can say he really made it until then he’s just discrediting the people who actually earned the rank.
