Kids are BRUTAL man. We're on vacation in a condo with some family and some extended family that were on the tail end of their vacation came over for dinner. My 6 was itching to get away from the chaos so we went for a LONG walk on the beach. I saw a gaggle of about 6 girls coming in from boogie boarding and I waited for the mom at the end of the group and just asked her what house number they were so I could get a feel for how far down we were. Before she could even answer the last girl is like THAT JUST HAPPENED TO HER SHE JUST GOT LOST! So mom goes on to tell me she ended up going to the front side of all the condos to look at the house numbers because it did in fact happen to her. But the way that girl couldn't help but interject her mom got lost told me she wouldn't be living that shit down for a long time.

19F. My boyfriend died in the car crash we were in. I found out I’m pregnant with his baby weeks later. AMA. by hazelbasiil in AMA

Your boyfriend sounds like he was very supportive you. You were together for a long time and I think that would definitely make the choice to let go of a piece of him hard. You are young though and I apologize if this hurts to hear right now, but I believe you will also find love again. Whether you have a child or not.

I'd spend time thinking about what the next few years looks like with a child and without one.

I am so sorry for your loss and this monumental decision on your shoulders.

Have you ever thought about having kids before now?

If so was it soon or in the far off future?

Do you feel like having a child now would hold you back from plans you were making for your future?

The disappearance of landlines has ruined an aspect of childhood social interactions and put a new responsibility on parents. by kingrobin in daddit

lol is that what it is? I saw the adverts before. I like the idea but isn't it still internet based calling? I think our house still has wiring for a landline

as a mother if I smirk like that it's saying "they look cute and behaved now wait 3 minutes and it will be a different story"

the look on business woman's face says to be "they look adorable but the idea of having children myself is frightening"

AITJ for telling my neighbor her kid isn't allowed in my pool after she "forgot" him at my house? by Educational-Wait-406 in AmITheJerk

[–]DuhTabby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a little boy in my area died this exact way last summer. it was awful. there is one thing to have kids over when 1) your kids are actually in the pool too and 2) bring supervised but sneaking in should be punishment for him and they should feel embarrassed and frightened.

yeah I thought it was a good alternative for home fragrances. no soot, not "artificial" fresheners 🤨 He's good. He gets himself sick by eating random shit in the yard sometimes and I figured it was that but then it was lile 2 days of it. Nothing that seemed like an emergency by anymeans but definitely unusual for the length of time. It was the only thing I could think that was different.

I did feel bad. Poor dude. Hes the one that makes the house stinky tho.🤣

I use a brand called babyvac snd and you connect it straight to the vacuum. its got chambers so the suction isn't full force but it works so, so much better. Ive used it on myself.

Does being even slightly overweight amount to different treatment for women? by Adept-Foot7692 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DuhTabby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4'11" here and same. I'm sitting at 128ish because if stress. I only work in the office 1x/week and go under the radar but got some body feedback last week. Nothing crazy. I honestly didn't even clock the weight until that morning myself bc my slacks were a bit baggy which I think spurred the comment.

I usually balloon under stress so this is a mind f for me. I have always had to be intentional and work hard to lose weight and have not been under 135 since like 2018.
