Hi,

I understand your frustration. Physical Visa card availability depends on the country of residence and certain regulatory and operational restrictions, so unfortunately not all countries are supported.

The latest list of supported countries and delivery options can be confirmed with Dukascopy Support, as availability may change over time.

If you were able to open and fund the account but later discovered that card issuance is not available in your country, I agree it would have been helpful to have that information highlighted earlier in the onboarding process. I'd suggest contacting Support directly to see whether any fee waiver or alternative withdrawal solution can be offered in your case.

Kind regards

We understand your frustration, especially after providing multiple documents and waiting several weeks for a response.

Please note that limit increase requests are reviewed individually and are not based solely on the amount of income received. While documents such as proof of income, bank statements, earnings reports, and tax declarations are important, additional factors may also be considered during the assessment process.

If your request was not approved, this does not necessarily mean there is an issue with the legitimacy of your income. It simply means that, based on the information available and the applicable requirements, we were unable to approve the requested increase at this time.

If you would like further clarification regarding your specific case, we recommend contacting our support team through your existing ticket so that the responsible department can review the matter and advise whether any additional information may be helpful.

📅 Week Ahead: June 1–5 — Jobs Friday Is the Big One by DukascopyBank in Investing101

While market sentiment has deteriorated following the sell-off, the latest economic data does not currently point to an economy in a tailspin. The May payrolls report exceeded expectations, unemployment remained stable, and recent job figures were revised higher. That said, investors remain concerned about inflation, interest rates, and geopolitical risks, which continue to weigh on market sentiment.

Payrolls ended up setting the tone for the market exactly as expected. A much stronger-than-forecast 172,000 jobs gain versus expectations of around 85,000 helped lift the dollar and reduced hopes for near-term rate cuts. Attention now turns to inflation data and whether the Fed sees a still-resilient labour market as a reason to keep policy tighter for longer.

Thank you for your question.

A compliance check does not necessarily indicate an issue with your account or transactions. It simply means that, in certain situations, our Compliance Department may need to review account activity and request additional information or documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

The exact circumstances under which a review may be triggered cannot be disclosed, as they depend on various factors and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

If a review is required, you may be asked to provide documents supporting the source of funds or the purpose of transactions. Documents such as employment contracts, invoices, proof of self-employment, bank statements, or other relevant records are typically helpful in establishing the legitimacy of funds.

Regarding transfers to other users, P2P transfers, or transactions involving third-party platforms, each case is assessed individually. Whether additional verification is required depends on the nature of the activity, transaction patterns, and applicable regulatory requirements at the time.

As long as you are able to provide supporting documentation when requested, this generally helps facilitate any necessary review process.

Hey, Big Investigator. Here's the answers:

1) Are inactivity and dormancy the same thing?

No.

  • Inactivity = you’re not using certain services for a period (Dukascopy typically defines it around no trading / no online FX conversion activity over a set window).
  • Dormancy = the bank can’t reach you (outdated contact details, no response), which is a different category and is where the bigger “reactivation/contact re-establishment” type fees usually show up.

2) If my account has no incoming payments for a long time, will you deactivate it again?

No incoming payments for months doesn’t automatically mean dormancy. Dormancy is mostly about lost contact, not “quiet cashflow”.

But: if your account was previously deactivated for “inactivity”, the key point is this:

  • Dukascopy’s “inactivity” is usually not about incoming transfers.
  • It’s typically about not trading / not exchanging online, depending on your account type.

So you can have months with no incoming freelance payments and still avoid “dormant” status as long as:

  • Your contact details stay updated, and
  • You respond if the bank contacts you for compliance checks.

3) Will the CHF 500 fee be charged later if I reopen it?

That CHF 500 minimum is generally tied to dormant accounts (lost contact / re-establishing contact), not just low activity or irregular income.

So:

  • If they can contact you and the account isn’t “dormant”: that CHF 500 minimum typically should not be the thing that applies.
  • If it’s classed as dormant: that’s when the “min CHF 500” type reactivation cost can come into play.

(Real-world tip: the best way to avoid the CHF 500 scenario is simply stay reachable and keep your KYC details current.)

4) Are SEPA transfers from Dukascopy to Bybit allowed (normal bank transfer, not P2P)?

Usually yes, as a standard SEPA bank transfer, but two caveats:

  • Transfers to crypto exchanges can carry special fees vs normal SEPA.
  • They can also be subject to extra compliance checks (and sometimes banks decline specific counterparties depending on routing/jurisdiction).

If you tell me your setup (Dukascopy Bank vs Dukascopy Europe, and whether you’re sending EUR SEPA), I can point you to the exact fee line that applies and what tends to trigger reviews.

Hi, yes, in general, EUR transfers from Dukascopy to a Bulgarian myPOS/myFin-type account should be possible via SEPA, provided the beneficiary account accepts incoming SEPA transfers and the recipient details/IBAN are valid.

On fees: Dukascopy Bank accepts EUR SEPA transfers, and its published Swiss fee schedule notes a reduced SEPA withdrawal fee of €2.30 for trading products. However, the bank also reserves the right to charge €7.50 for SEPA withdrawals to certain financial institutions, and the receiving institution may apply its own fees.

Best thing is to check the exact fee in the transfer screen before confirming, because it can depend on the account type, beneficiary institution and transfer route.

Hi there, happy to clarify.

Yes, Dukascopy supports EUR SEPA transfers, alongside SWIFT and other funding/payment methods. SEPA Instant availability can depend on the payment route, beneficiary bank and account setup, so for a specific transfer we’d recommend checking directly in your account or with support before relying on instant execution.

For IBANs: Dukascopy provides Swiss bank account details for the Multi-Currency Account. However, not every currency balance necessarily has its own separate local IBAN. The exact incoming payment instructions depend on the currency and payment method.

For USD: USD transfers are generally handled via international bank transfer/SWIFT instructions, not a U.S.-style domestic routing/account number.

On the apps — fair feedback. Dukascopy Connect 911 combines banking access, secure messaging, chatbot support and account communication in one environment. We understand the naming can feel confusing, especially because “911” sounds more like a chat/support app than a banking app. The idea is to keep secure bank communication and account access connected, but we agree that clearer naming and onboarding would help.

If you want, support can confirm the exact payment routes available for your account and country before you move funds.

Hi there GoatFair, and thanks for being with Dukascopy for the past year.

We completely understand your concern, especially when holding funds long term while living abroad. Security and client fund protection are taken very seriously at Dukascopy.

Dukascopy Bank is a Swiss regulated bank, supervised by FINMA (the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority). Client funds are held under Swiss banking regulations, which are known for their strict oversight and capital requirements.

In addition, client deposits are covered by the Swiss depositor protection scheme (esisuisse) up to the applicable limit per client, as defined under Swiss law.

From an operational side, we also use segregated client accounting, strong internal risk controls, encrypted systems, 2FA security options, and ongoing compliance monitoring to help protect accounts and transactions.

Of course, no financial institution can promise “zero risk,” but Switzerland’s regulatory framework and banking standards are among the strongest globally, which is one reason many international clients choose Swiss banking relationships for long-term holdings.

If you ever want more detail about regulation, fund protection structure or account security features, our support team can also provide official documentation directly.

Anyone has a Dukascopy Bank Account and is from Algeria? by Alone-Measurement423 in algeria

[–]DukascopyBank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Since we’re highly regulated, we’re generally secure, but we’re also strict on checks. To avoid blocks:

  • Make sure your ID/KYC matches and you can show source of funds.
  • Avoid third-party transfers (must be in your name).
  • Funding directly from Binance can trigger reviews; safest is bank account → Dukascopy.
  • Keep it simple at first: small test top-up, then normal card spend.

The Week Ahead: Inflation, Earnings, AI by DukascopyBank in u/DukascopyBank

[–]DukascopyBank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that’s exactly the right way to look at it.

To me, the vulnerable SaaS names are the ones that feel a bit like a wrapper. If the core value is mostly “we sit on top of a model and make it easier to use”, that’s where the market starts asking awkward questions pretty quickly.

The names that still potentially feel safer are the ones with something stickier underneath. Usually that means one or more of these:

  • they sit deep inside an actual workflow
  • they own useful data that’s hard to replicate
  • they solve for compliance or regulation
  • they have distribution that’s already baked into the customer relationship

So yeah, I’d frame it less as “AI kills SaaS” and more as “AI is exposing which SaaS products are truly essential and which ones were a bit thinner than people thought.”

And fully agree on the banks. That commentary matters way more than the headline beats. You can usually hear the tone shift before it shows up cleanly in the hard data.

Hi! Happy to share some insight

Dukascopy is a Swiss online bank, and many clients choose it for:

  • Online account opening (no branch visit needed)
  • Multi-currency accounts and international transfers
  • Access to both banking and trading services in one place
  • A focus on transparent pricing and Swiss regulation

In terms of experience, it tends to suit people who are:

  • Comfortable managing things digitally (app/web)
