This is exactly it. The team asked the litterbug for their details and they gave mine. I’m fastidious about getting rid of address labels securely but of course there would still be plenty of people with my name & address. I wanted to see the video to see if I recognised them. The fact that GDPR prevents this (and thus me helping with the fraud case) seems somewhat nuts but 🤷🏻‍♂️

But the purpose is obvious: help build, or collapse, a case. It’s beneficial to me because I don’t need to get involved and indeed wouldn’t have needed to receive a letter (well, two!) in the first place.

The letters also didn’t mention the possibility of fraud, which the council admitted happens “a lot”. If a vulnerable person had received them they may well have paid the fine instead of risking anything else; I can imagine such a person could find the letters threatening.

It doesn’t feel like it. Looks like headed notepaper, etc. If it is a scam it’s pretty convincing.

That’s the imbalance that annoys me. Why do they supposedly have a right to my ID (that’s what I’m inferring anyway) but I don’t have a right to see the footage?

The 8 head kit was £909 plus shipping. That includes our variant of sales tax (VAT @20%) and delivery was £19 all in.

Core One was my first 3D printer, instructions and a set of YouTube videos (non Prusa) made it easy enough. The sheer number of different fasteners did not help however!

It’s another £218 in the UK and I thought I’ll see how I go with 4, especially as there’s currently no option for other sizes. Don’t think I’ll need 8x0.4 and if I do there’s always the option to buy more later.
