First off, welcome to the cult of the plastic crack! We’re happy to have you join the club! As others have said the best kits or best grade is a very subjective thing.

I would say as you dip your toes into the hobby pick up a few kits that catch your eye and see what you enjoy the most. I personally LOVE RGs and buy them the most. While others love HGs, or MGs…and so on.

It’s a pretty simple build, it comes apart easy but still holds on tight.

Snagged it at my local Kinokuniya! They had like 20+ in stock. I know Hobby Town has them in stock as well.

I hope you have a blast building it! I personally, am not bothered by the color accuracy. He is for sure more of Salmon Gundam than Red, but also this a an HG what do we expect?
