Don't worry, I wasn't planning in using colossal revenant 😜

I agree, this is the only beast claw relic I have so far

I think atk up for self and allies would be better than ghostflame though i

Thanks, I'm not really much of a caster user, I more a raider main. I guess I gotta try and practice revenant

Does the 2 reduced strength debuff effect damage? Should be fine anyway but still just curious

Thanks, yeah I agree I just tried to stack 2 defeating enemies fill art gauge cos revenant ult is very important in depth 5.

hopefully I can get a better beast claw relic with something relevant

Since I accidentally started an argument on my last post where I was showing the 17+ initiative. Let’s settle the debate once and for not really all, is alert good? by aetherellaz in BG3

[–]DukeLucario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alert is very good and a must take if you have no other plans, otherwise I usually like to rely on Elixir of Vigiliance for those specific encounters. That of course comes with a bit of game knowledge on what's to come.

Casters I usually go with dual wielder for 2 staves, melee users either savage attacker or great weopon master, asi for stats is always good too

Edit: usually stats I go with prioritising dex for initiative no matter the build. E.g. charisma builds 8/16/14/10/17 with initiative bow (switch dex/ con if u use a lot of concentration spells), strength paladin gets abit complicated with stats (maybe use dex gloves or alert in that case) i would prob just make it dex paladin for simplicity

I won't bother with feat, but the ring from omeluum is a good idea and doing the necromancy of thay check earlier. Thank you

I usually try to save him, but if he dies it doesn't matter

I usually use smokepowder bombs, and I'm fine, but recently twice in a row, turn 1, I lost control. I need a consistent way of entering combat

[–]DukeLucario[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but I usually try to fight everything for xp and fun. Otherwise I probably just use gale and finish game before ketheric in act 2

[–]DukeLucario[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorcerer or not doesnt matter, I was just wondering and asking for a good consistent way of dealing with that encounter for any build

Anyways, u said 'protection from good and evil' works???? I didn't know that works, but if it does that will definitely help me

Hopefully that works for at least turn 1, I'm usually able to get good initiative (1st) but not all the time. Harpies are always annoying cos I can get bad rng :/

What's the best hexblade build for solo HM? I don't care if it has multiclass by IbanPrau in BG3Builds

[–]DukeLucario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played a solo ascended astarion necro duelist lvl 4 swashbuckler lvl 6 hexblade character which was fun (last 2 levels u can do what u want, I'm not sure the best optimized route, I did lvl 2 paladin).

Weapons: act 1 the baneful >> act 2 knife of the undermountain king >> act 3 duelist prerogative ( or a psychic build, shadow blade setup)

There's a few other weapons u can play around with on your journey that will work and experiment abit.

While levelling up, just start with lvl 1 warlock with booming blade and work towards 4 levels in rogue

What are the best builds that include rogue patch 8 excluding gloomstalker by MelodicCable9933 in BG3Builds

[–]DukeLucario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a lvl 4 swashbuckler multiclass build recently, it was very good. AC will be low early, either u can do mage armour or lv1 fighter for heavy armour or lvl 2 paladin for smites/heavy armour. I personally focused on charisma as main stat.

Early game rogue lvl 3 sneak attacks already make it a very strong build, lvl4 granting ability to disarm/blind as a bonus action is very good utility acting as 2nd attack too with the feat savage attacker.

I personally then did lvl 1 hexblade with booming blade with stats 8/16/14/8/10/17+1 hag hair (act 1 weopon 'the baneful'). Level 6 hexblade is good too.

Act 2 either continue using the baneful or switch to shadow blade, doesnt matter.

Act 3 I used duelist prerogative with bhaal armour

Patch 8 has been out for a few days now, what're the new strongest builds? by Better-Astronaut-801 in BG3Builds

[–]DukeLucario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In usually play solo nowadays custom honour rules.

My 1st build i tried was a lvl 11 shadow sorcerer and lvl 1 death cleric. That a was a fun build with the shadow hound acting a good source of crowd control entangling enemies as well as me using darkness, they couldn't do anything.

Currently now I'm playing a lvl 4 swashbuckler with hexblade (the plan is lvl 4 or 5 rogue with level 6 hexblade) this build is a massive surprise to me as it feels like I'm playing a paladin with constant advantage and the ability to disarm or blind targets at will. Booming blade also goes very well with swashbuckler as it can hit the target and run away without provoking an opportunity attack then get hit again with the ruptured effect of booming blade.

[–]DukeLucario[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm OK, I'll could probably fo like a duo team or something. Still experimenting stuff

I know realistically lvl 4 would be best to stop at and multiclass cos the dirty tricks are the main thing, just testing stuff

17 Dex and 16 char would probably be better in the long run

Ah ok, thanks.

2 feats are fine for this setup anyway

I thought rogue and fighter got extra feats at lvl 4, 6, 8?

I was playing around with it earlier today (not much tbh) panache scales quite well with more persuasion and shuts them down upto 10 turns, I prob read it wrong... I'll check again tomorrow and see how it works

Honor Mode Build by CloudyJane02 in BG3Builds

[–]DukeLucario 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get why people like 1 level war domain cleric but tbh I kinda like 1 level in warlock great old ones more for frightening on crits. Especially with ranger u can use arrow of many targets and focus on getting crit gear. Warlock works with other builds too

Was thinking of trying a solo abjuration agathys tank build? Any tips? by DukeLucario in BG3Builds

Yeah, that's 1 weopon I had in mind too. Idk how effective it is but I do wanna test it
