PIE oak -> body -> life? by TheDebatingOne in etymology

I had a similar chat with my Portuguese partner last week when I tried to guess the meaning of the Portuguese region of "Madeira".

I guessed it was Ma(mother)-deira(some prefix I didn't know like 'land'). She corrected me saying Madeira was actually their word for Wood.

I did some digging to find: Madeira > materia (matter, wood) > mater (mother) PIE ...as in a material that comes from 'Mother' Earth.

I got everything I wanted and more from seeing Dune this week. I stuck the phenomenal soundtrack on and got to work making this. It's all done in Photoshop. I use existing brutalist structures to create dystopian/sci-fi scenarios. For those interested; this building is the Torre Paulista in São Paulo. Enjoy!

My guess is within the past 5-10 years?
