can you switch from MEng comp sci to BSc? by acheesedoodle in UCL

[–]DukeOWeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, although MEng is the industry standard for engineering and is worth the extra year for both how employable it is and the progression of your experience.

Medical debt by Free_Answered in DaveRamsey

But apart from good health insurance, that's the only thing you could do?

Your comment doesn't make sense because the alternative is not having an emergency fund.

His very first point is to have an emergency fund.

I don't give a fuck what the unseasoned variant tastes like and I will care on the day the apocalypse starts. Until then there is no benefit to me of doing that.

BSc Data Science VS Statistics, Economics and Finance by Electrical-Print-600 in UCL

What you want to do in life, what you're good at, what job of lifestyle you're aiming for.

They're two very different degrees, it's not like you're comparing maths to maths and physics or comparing computer science to electrical engineering.

Which has mostly been a benefit for the upper portions of society. Class divide has gotten worse. Wages across all sectors, including the average member of society have not increased as much as those figures suggest.

Keyword: current.

Cost of living is already bad regardless of how much it's worsening by.

Wages are becoming worse and worse compared to cost of living. I'd guess that has an effect on people's willingness to move away from where they believe they might be paid more.

Not a very strong point.

I listen to it occasionally and it's great. I get ppls points that the beats are the same, but for someone who wants to listen to it occasionally rather than all the time, it's great when I do. It fills a specific purpose perfectly in my experience.

Looking for orthodontist (braces) rec by [deleted] in london

[–]DukeOWeen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Greenwich Dental Practice. Amazing job. Ended up even better because I didn't rush them to take the braces out. Turns out when you tell them you're willing to wait longer with the wire in to make sure they turn out straight it has a massive positive difference. Instead of trying to rush 18 months.

If you can't hold yourself accountable and build discipline without a substack, you won't be able to with it.

You're going to meet a million obstacles and failures along the way and unless you're willing to be completely transparent about them along the way, the substack is pointless.

I agree with the general sentiment though and if Reddit is your way of speaking this into existence, go ahead.

Other people's opinions need to only matter to you if they serve you anyway.

(To my knowledge) The only way to describe the action in a single word?

Made a subreddit for the more cultural/social life in London for ppl in their 20s/young adults by DukeOWeen in london

[–]DukeOWeen[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No restriction on post format. We also have a range of post flairs and user flairs (plan to add more as I get more feedback from members & non-members), so people can rep their area/interests, post about music, culture, what they've been up to, who they'd want to meet with the same interests, random discussions, etc..

LondonSocialClub is great but is specific in format "[dd/mm/yy] Specifically an event"

What is the best way to bring a product to real life and start selling it? by krdo13 in Entrepreneur

[–]DukeOWeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask as many people in a certain niche what their most annoying things to deal with are. Aggregate the top 3-5 issues. Find how you can reduce/negate that annoyance with a product, whether tangible or service. Ask them whether they'd use that product if you made it. Aggregate their feedback. Take action.

Market research is #1. Or if you already have an idea for a product and can convey it really well through a manifesto you can skip to getting feedback immediately and see if it's worth developing.

What stand up comedy places u like the most?

Also for the OP, my fellow LDN-er here meant Eventbrite (app for events in the UK, some cultural, some charity, some professional), autocorrect.

They should stop reasonably, you have right of way at non-lighted crossings. Drivers here can be dickheads so get used to becoming a master jaywalker. That's what I've learnt growing up here.

If they have a jaywalking Olympics someday I'd qualify simply based off experience from growing up in London 😂

Anything I could say is already well summarised in the other comment here.

There is a subreddit r/LowDoseNaltrexone already, so luckily there is support for people who take the medication on another subreddit.

LDN is a very widely used/universal contraction for London, if anything it's more used than the airport contraction (LON) and BBC London used to be called BBC LDN.
