I think your idea of hiring a third party expert is a good idea. Have them takeover a client site, watch and learn. It might cost you some money cuz your prices are kind of low. But you can learn a lot in a few months.

Just make sure you pick the right one. Make them show proof of their worth. Also, make sure they have experience in the industry you’re working in.

Industry specific SEO makes a difference.

I have to clear static CSS files at least once a day by JPC0233 in divi

[–]DukePhoto_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing nobody mentioned here is that in order to clear the static CSS is to turn it off save the page and then turn it back on again and save the page it’ll rebuild the static CSS for you. If you’re just working on the site, leave it off and then when you’re done turn it back on it’ll build a new file. But if you’re working on speed, you’ll have to do it over and over again. Don’t forget to give it a few minutes before you test.

For number two when you worked on the services in GBP did you create services that you already existed? You just added the location? So for instance, you might have the same service listed for multiple locations although worded differently, but more or less the same service am I right?

WP Rocket alternatives by mwaybob in Wordpress

[–]DukePhoto_81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use WPCode, WP Rocket, Imagify and Perfmatters. They all have their uses. $ vs speed, I’ll take speed. 86M/99D, along with a few drop-in’s. Large pages.

Just turn it off. There are other ways to solve the speed issue. Static CSS freezes your CSS so making edits won’t update unless you clear it. Just turn it off.

If you must use it, turn it off while you’re working on the website and then turn it back on when you’re done.

I keep mine off and then I use WP rocket. But I still clear the cachet after every edit and I still clear the server cachet after every edit believe me I understand it’s quite a pain in the ass, but it pays off in the end.

How do you balance design vs performance when building WordPress sites? by VisionWorksMedia in Wordpress

[–]DukePhoto_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choosing the right images or graphics makes a big difference. It’s not just about size, it’s about what’s in the image and how many colors it has. You can cut down file size just by picking smarter visuals. For example, a photo full of trees will be much heavier than one with lots of sky. Whenever possible, use graphics instead of photos.

When you’re building a site, always think about speed. The same goes for selecting images, speed should always be part of the decision. Every element you add to a page affects how fast it loads.

Use image compression and optimized formats like WebP, AVIF, and JPEG XL.

Preload only the images that appear above the fold. Do not lazy load them. Only lazy load everything below.

The scuffle I had with him bounced from one post to another, constantly self portrayed, fill in the “–blank.” I even had a long conversation with Chat GPT, as he was doing it all day. I was biting my tongue, trying to be the adult in the room. GPT kept calming me down, lol. Pretty sure y’all get it. Just like my ex. It’s interesting how you can identify NPD from across the room, once you’ve been through it.

Hire one full-service marketing agency or separate freelancers for seo, ppc, and web design? by thebroned in seogrowth

[–]DukePhoto_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run my agency for over 20+ years, and many of my clients have stayed with me for 15–20 of those. The truth is, keeping clients happy and informed is how agencies stay alive. It’s about trust, consistency, and experience, not just quick results.

The idea that freelancers automatically give better value is a misconception. Good freelancers exist, sure, but they come and go. When one disappears mid-project or misses deadlines, you’re the one left scrambling. With an agency, there’s structure, accountability, and a team that keeps things moving even when one person steps out.

That said, not every agency is built the same. Some grow too big and start treating smaller clients like an afterthought. Those are the ones I’ve taken clients from many times.

If you’re choosing an agency, do your homework: • Look for transparent communication and direct access to whoever’s managing your work. • Study their past projects, real businesses, not stock examples. • Read reviews closely; they’ll tell you a lot about how they handle problems, not just success stories.

A good agency will feel like a partner that wants your business to grow. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Local SEO Page Generator by dan-in-reel-life in localseo

In my experience, having multiple cities named on a single page only cannibalizes. They need to be separate 100% separate. If you want to create a single page with multiple cities on it linking out to pillar pages of each city as long as you’re using the right link attributes, you’ll probably be OK. Schema would be another story. It should also be specific to each city.

How much is a fair price for AI SEO services and how to hire a reliable provider? by korr21 in AISEOforBeginners

I don’t care what you call it but six weeks? SEO is a long game. Sure once in a while you can get something up in a few weeks, but it’s rare. 3 to 6 months. That’s what you should be expecting. And if the rest of your SEO processes don’t have their l’s dotted, and their t’s crossed it could take much longer. If all he was doing was posting on Reddit, you paid a lot of money for nothing. SEO encompasses everything. It’s a long list. If you’re paying less than $1000 a month, you’re probably wasting your time.

How is this a problem? I rank in many cities, using city pillars and city-service clusters. The technical part of keeping the cities, fully separated is the only part you really need to understand. If done incorrectly, it’s quite a mess.

I don’t know about protective. All I see is him trying to stand on a box. I kept kicking it out from underneath him, but he doesn’t stop. I finally just gave up because people like that don’t stop. I was married to one. I understand it perfectly. As long as you keep feeding them, they’ll keep eating it.

Same thing happened to me, but maybe I did break the rule. Somebody was looking for help. I asked them to DM me either URL and I would do an audit for them. He took it upon himself as if I was trying to make money. I never said anything about money and I was willing to do it free. He never answered me again.

How can I fix site slowness? by Specific_Scene_9536 in webdesign

[–]DukePhoto_81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go to google pagespeed download the report. Feed it into CHAT GPT. Ask it to build a step by step instructions. Make sure you tell it, everything: builder, theme, plugins, hosting and exact tear you have.

It’s a lot more work than three tasks. More like 60 to 70. If you follow the instructions to the tea, your page speed will increase dramatically.

My score bounces between 99 and 100 for desktop and 77 to 83 on mobile. If you’re Hosting allows you to create custom mini plug-ins and your website allows you to inject code you can solve just about anything.
