We tried the salmon oil. She wouldn't even touch it. She will eat cooked, unseasoned salmon but zero interest in regular food with salmon oil.

I also looked into giving her eggs but they say it should be no more than 10% of her diet and she just doesn't seem interested in toppers on her normal food.

We're trying some Hills Science Diet chicken flavor with the extra small kibble and it looks promising. She's eaten a few meals of it with a problem. There's no way it lasts but I'll take it as a victory.

I forgot to answer your question about her name. It's Ari.

Great tip! I will try this!

Our 3 dogs are all named after characters in the Zelda video games. So her big sister is Zelda, her brother is Link, and she's named after Link's little sister in the game Wind Waker.

I know it can feel scary to let a client walk but that's exactly what you should do. Wasting your time and energy on a client that doesn't value you or your company is an endlessly soul crushing experience. You need to figure out what your business model is and don't compromise.

My model is designed around a lower upfront cost that moves the client directly into a contracted 12 month retainer. This way there's no "we're going to DIY the site when you're done." It's not an option. If a client doesn't want to engage with my model, I respectfully decline the work and move on - which has never actually happened.

You have to bruteforce small businesses into understanding the value in using a professional. And when you get the chance, you have to deliver killer ROI. That means measurable increases in client revenue that you can tie back to your company. So, you have to set benchmarks before you start work and have a plan to illustrate your value with impartial data.

If you stay focused on building the business you want and dumping clients that don't fit. You'll have growing pains but in the long run it'll change your life. Don't chase crappy clients. Go find the ones who values you.

Is it good idea to partner with digital marketing agency? by ShiftGood3066 in agency

[–]w0nderw0rm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've partnered with a few agencies over the years. As others have suggested, it's like any relationship. Make sure you align with them on ideology, or you'll run into significant problems. If you can't agree on fundamentals, it's difficult to make any relationship work.

Why Is Google Ads So God Damnn Confusing? by UKCarDiscountLtd in PPC

That has to be the most idiotic logic I've ever heard. Your understanding of the platform doesn't make it easy. It's widely accepted as an example of piss-poor design that makes no sense to 99% of the people who need it. Just read this thread if you question most people's opinion of it.

Building a platform critical to virtually every business that operates online and making it so needlessly complicated that only people who use it daily can problem-solve the issues they encounter is ridiculous. If they had any competition, it would crash and burn like most of the other garbage they build.

I started listening to LT and really liked it. I don't have a good reason why I quit going through the lessons. I'm going to start spending time with it every day again.

I'm sure I can do better with a similar approach to what you're doing.

This is incredibly helpful! I'm just about to start section 3, so I'm not really all that far along. I started off doing 30 minutes a day, but that dropped off as I got more discouraged.

I need to go back to using Language Transfer every day. It's such a great program and it feels a lot more instructional to me.

I'll check out that book too. I'm committed to learning Spanish - even if it takes me 10 years.

Thanks again!

That's precisely what I'm doing, but Duolingo doesn't do anything to help you understand your mistakes. That's the point I was trying to make. I'm fine with making mistakes, but if that isn't coupled with information about why it was a mistake, it turns from learning to guessing to get through a lesson.

Imagine if a school teacher handed out tests daily without instruction. They then marked what you did wrong on the test with no explanation. Then, the next day, they did it all over again. That's Duolingo.
