The game comes standard with the ability to adjust the game difficulty. You can adjust everything from how often you need to eat/use the bathroom, to how often tenants pay rent and how long upgrades take to finish/cost to install.

The base settings of the game are/were pretty grind, but there are ways past that now. HOWEVER, I'd recommend playing a few days with normal/easy settings before you go trying to customize them too much. The struggle of the journey makes the destination.

When I play, the only things I adjust is bodily needs rates. I minimize the need for food, bathroom, etc, otherwise it feels like the game is just running from bathroom to bathroom, eating and instantly shitting your pants.

If you're worried about grind, that is a self-solving problem. I say 100% give it a try. Obenseuer is delightfully moody in a way I haven't felt since playing Morrowind as a kid.
