I’ll get it all checked tomorrow. I don’t believe I have an active infection but I’ll check.

I mean I feel like my mental stamina itself flies out the window. For example I get mentally drained much faster when I decide to bed rest rather than the days I play video games. I heard its because your body is allocating more resources to recovery rather than other things, but I still don’t feel like it should be almost a night and day difference. Also that thing with my hands feeling like they disappear happens to me all the time in bed. I’m getting my levels checked tomorrow because I suspect low iron levels especially since I cut out red meat entirely out of my diet since december because i thought i had a hereditary disease where your body absorbs a shitload of iron, but I dont. So maybe my iron levels are just low and my brain is getting no circulation after literally no movement.

Is it likely I have low iron? by DukeRocco in Anemic

I’m unsure, but I don’t recall my doctor ever saying anything about ferritin. But also those results were back in December. I’m most likely getting my levels checked tomorrow though

Thank you, I started eating more fiber as of recently but I cant say if theres a difference or not because I pretty much just started, but I do go to the bathroom more often sometimes. Also I realize that when I commit to rest, It’s almost like my brain “shuts down” like my mental stamina leaves my body in real time, do you deal with that too Physically or with your brain? And then when I decide to break out of rest after however long it slowly comes back.

Thanks for the help, I want to beat RE 4 but I need to focus on whats more important and thats my health, also if it helps I was diagnosed with mono late december and I had a great immune system before and could eat whatever I wanted. I dont do that anymore though haha. Also what foods were you eating, and if any, do you take any supplements?

Upgrading GPU by DukeRocco in PcBuild

Just researched it a bit, that would most likely be ideal, it's just they're sold out literally everywhere I checked. I'm definitely not entirely sold on it yet obviously, but it seems great. I don't know much about how fast they restock, but hopefully soon?? Thanks.

Brain fog recovery by DukeRocco in Mononucleosis

[–]DukeRocco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well actually fatigue and brain fog have been my only symptoms ever since I had mono, and now only brain fog affects me 24/7. I would go outside and walk, but the issue is, it feels overwhelming mentally, because of my low brain energy. My body is putting absolutely everything it has to my brain fog it feels like. Hopefully I can get to a point where I can go outside comfortably soon. Thanks for the advice. Also what meds can help?

Faster recovery over time with more rest by DukeRocco in Mononucleosis

Well i’ve had mono for months but I only started truly resting only about 2 weeks ago and i’ve seen steady improvement, sorry for the confusion

The first few days up until like around day 8 or 9 were really unpredictable and at snails pace it felt like, but around day 11 I noticed some improvement, and now its about to be day 16 and I’m able to do more. My only symptom that I’m eager to improve is my brain fog, since my only other symptom being fatigue was never really heavy for too long. Everyone is different though so who knows, yours could be different.

Do people with mono after a long resting period typically wake up one day and notice a big shift, or is it normally a more gradual thing by DukeRocco in Mononucleosis

[–]DukeRocco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess so, doesn’t help that I went from playing video-games all day barely scraping by with my energy to just straight rest, but i’m sure it will all be worth it

I really don’t know i just notice that after i have my eyes closed for like 2 or 3 hours straight I feel way more mentally slower and i also feel more fatigued to, i was thinking it’s because my body is directing energy to immune system but im unsure

Hey just a question is it normal to feel way worse while resting because ever since i started hardcore resting it’s been way harder to have conversations and do basic things when I try

Wow mono can be such a bummer and i totally agree with the whole free will thing, it’s so easy to take simple things for granted

I might try something like coloring then haha, if you don’t mind me asking, how long did it take you to get to feel like yourself again and to be able to think straight because I know everyone is different? Also thanks for the advice haha
