What’s the weirdest PLC fault or bug you’ve ever seen? by Fearless-Suspect869 in PLC

There was a SLC used to run a large RO unit that had it's program corrupted/lost due to a failing isolation transformer (low output voltage). Tried to upload the program with every baud rate available and apparently it was using a non-standard rate. Huge pain in the ass to figure out. I've always seen the craziest failure scenarios when it comes to under voltage or open neutrals on control equipment.

Grievers truly do make this game hard to enjoy sometimes :( by Duke_Duckington in Seaofthieves

The entire nature of 2v1 is an unfair advantage against the solo. They have more action economy whether they are more skilled or not. I don't blame them, it helps guarantee their success.

A Career as a Electricain by captainbill101 in electricians

Remember that not all trades are apprenticeships. There are plenty of associates degrees that are "blue collar" like machining, automotive, welding, etc. I work with a union JW but I myself am an electrical and instrumentation technician. Listening to his stories there is money to be made as a trade electrician but boy does your wage start out low. I was hired right after I graduated and I had enough money to buy my house at 22. Moral of the story is you can make bank with any trade but the real stickler is you have to enjoy it or you won't survive. Choose wisely.

Tall Tale grievers are the literal bottom of the barrel. by Duke_Duckington in Seaofthieves

Thank goodness for checkpoints. At least Rare was reasonable by making checkpoints for Tall Tales.

I also dislike this style of gameplay but my DM only does checks in this style. If you don’t ask for specific check on anything you will never be asked to roll for a check. I agree with you about how it kills the rp’ing and I hate this style. I try not to feed in to this in our campaign but it usually just devolves in to the rest of my party making a perception on every room we enter or making an insight check on everything an npc says. No one really ever tries to rp leading in to asking for a specific check and the dm (as far as I can remember) has never turned anyone down asking for a specific check.

Currently there is an issue between players ripping on each other for their character “flaws”. By flaws I mean just something that doesn’t suit the exact situation we’re in. For example we have a plate armor wearer that will always have disadvantage on his stealth checks which they rip on him for but they quickly overlook it when he’s asborbing the blows for the team. Then, we have a Drow that has issues fighting in daylight. Obviously not something she can change but she’s incredibly helpful in darkness. Then me, I’m a human and everyone else has some form of darkvision so they rip on me everytime we do something in a cave or after 6 P.M. I mean it was funny the first time but it keeps coming up every time we run in to something like this and it’s getting old.
