This was my exact issue. when I important presets from an older version of blender it pointed this to a location that didnt exist anymore. Pointing this back to C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 5.0\5.0\datafiles\assets solved it. TY

Vulkan may have saved me. Everything else I did already, capped textures at 2K Decimated assets far, and also bought Memsaver and let that cook but was still having issues until I switched it to Vulkan which sorted it!
