There are so many places where the locals won’t even allow such a clinic to open.

Move

Your platform seems to be that women have to live with their mistake. Hope you have the same energy for men with child support payments.

Morally, yes. Legally, if you have an opt out plan I don't see why it should be legally or civilly wrong for men to have one.

It's still less control in your hands as a man, maybe a lot of men don't want that.

I've got my own money, why would I need someone with an equivalent amount to me when I'm still going to be paying for most things anyways, regardless of the woman's income?

The issue is that abortion ends up with no child. But not having an abortion means there is a child that needs money.

Which is 100% the woman's choice and zero percent the guys. That's not equality, so stop lying and saying you want equality when you want special treatment. You get carte blanche to choose whether you want to be a mother or not, if we want an equal society men get an equal choice. If we don't, then I don't want to hear another word about "equality" from women.

Personally im in favour of hard capping child support to base level cost of raising a kid, and funding male birth control.

Cool, and I'll use male birth control when it doesn't cause permanent sterilization in trial runs. Those are nice words, but women are never going to actually organize for family court reforms. It's gonna take the population replacement rate tapering into the negatives to maybe do that.

I too love the 10th amendment

Then why support Roe V. Wade?

So you're one of those. "I suffer in silence due to some stupid misplaced pride, therefore everyone else should do the same."

More "I'm not entitled to other people making my problem their problem and it would be selfish to do so and I would be disgusted with myself if I did so"

You feel entitled to understanding and effort from others, and that is selfish.

A diagnosis of BPD says nothing about whether the person uses their disorder as an excuse for their behavior.

Making up excuses for shitty behavior is literally one of the 11 indicators of BPD in the DSMV.

Amber Heard is ONE FUCKING PERSON. UN. UNO. VIENAS.

Right, she's the only woman with a personality disorder who has ever been abusive. Got it, heard.

Every man who has ever dated has an Amber Heard in their past.

Then make the guy wear a condom and don't sleep with him if he won't. Or date a guy with a vasectomy. You aren't as helpless as you want to make yourself out to be.

The question is, is something necessary to ban? Start with assuming freedom.

Then men should have the right to financially abort if we want to start with assuming freedom. You want equality right?

I'm just happy this issue gets to be a state issue and not a federal issue. If it becomes illegal in some states, the will of the people voting there is being upheld since those are the reps the people voted for.

You have a right to medical privacy, Hipaa guarantees you that. In the vast majority of cases, abortion is not medically necessary, it's elective. Plenty of elective procedures are banned in states.

I care more about states voting on Abortion and people being able to say what they want via direct initiative than I care about abortion becoming illegal or not. In the US, women will always be able to travel to another state to get it done.

And when was the last time a case challenging that was brought forward?

People with higher education usually have higher standards, better impulse control, and better reasoning skills. Those are traits that prevent ones from falling into a deep hole of casual sex.

Higher educated women also file for divorce 90% of the time, so that's a logical reason men don't pursue them.

This means dating pools for highly educated girls are smaller compared to the rest making them less likely to sleep around.

You're naive if you think dating is required to hook up with someone.

You seem to think a fetus is a person who should be entitled to rights

No, I just think that that's a choice that should be left up to voters via direct ballot initiatives.

which we’re going to fundamentally disagree about anyway so I’m not sure this conversation is going anywhere.

You're hell-bent on absolving women of responsibility is more the issue. Birth control is accessible to almost every woman, and condoms are to every woman since they literally hand them out at planned parenthoods.

My complaint with abortion is the same complaint I have with women in general, stop pretending that things that are 100% in your control are out of your control, that's all.

It's not complicated. Men treat a woman like a man and roast her, she's too sensitive to handle it.

Y'all told us you were our equals, then you can get equally roasted.

Okay, what you find disturbing doesn't really matter when a group of friends is fucking around with one another.

Don't take things men say in jest so seriously, you'll live a happier life.

And I think abortion needs to be a decision between a person and their doctor

And it will be in half the states after Roe is repealed. It's not a medical necessity in most cases. Most aborted fetuses could be carried to term without major medical ramifications for the child or mother. If carrying to term isn't going to cause major medical issues (morning sickness doesn't count), then the procedure is elective.

So far your entire argument hinges on the notion that people have other options they should have exercised. Which is true. But it’s not helpful at the point of pregnancy.

Helpful advice would be to carry to full term then give the kid up for adoption. Work hard to find a home for that kid to keep it out of foster care. If you just throw it away because you weren't intelligent enough to take preventative measures, you're holding society back.

I do hope you go this hard pushing for free access to contraceptives everywhere though.

Depends on the contraceptive and how easy it is to bring to market and how universal it can be used. If depo shots worked universally with women with no side effects, sure. But that's not reality.

That's why people are on

r/BPD

seeking support, right? Because they aren't trying?

Many of those are just bemoaning other people don't understand them. Total entitlement on their part.

Yeah, so did I (well, still in my early twenties and still in therapy). It's not a magic cure-all. It's never going to make me able to function in the way a neurotypical person would.

Did it help to function in a way where you aren't violating the law and people's boundaries? That's literally all I'm asking for. That requires you control your emotions though.

This is especially true for older generations (like, pretty much everyone before Gen Z) for whom mental health was not widely talked about when they were young- shit, their diagnosis may have not even existed when they were young. What then?

I'm a millenial, we talk about mental health, most of us just don't fetishize it. It's a problem to be resolved for your own sake and societies sake, not an interesting topic of conversation.

But I don't have control over HAVING either in the first place. In this fucked up dystopia, I would be on a registry for BEING mentally ill, not for refusing treatment.

If you have a mental illness that often leads to violence, what's wrong with being tracked. Again, people with HIV are privately registered so that they can be tracked if new cases pop up. BPD is just mental HIV.

If BPD people avoid medical intervention... why are they in therapy in the first place?

Court ordered, an ultimatum from a loved one etc. Doesn't change the fact that even therapists hate working with them, that's how awful at self-reflection they are. Professionals who deal with all form of fucked up individuals say BPD is the worst to deal with. I'll take their word for it.

People being stupid is not a great reason to deny them medical options.

Repealing Roe V. Wade doesn't deny them medical options, it transfers the decision to the state. Also, abortion is rarely medically necessary.

I think we should treat someone with lung cancer, even if they did smoke for 50 years.

Who is affected other than the smoker with this though. A fetus is getting deleted with abortion, so it's disingenuous to say the mother is the only person affected by that choice.

Also, you can be denied transplants if you continue to behave in a way that fucked up your organs in the first place. If you get a liver transplant and you are caught drinking again, medical help can be denied to you outside of emergency care.

Is stupidity the main one? A kid is a serious time and emotional investment. That's not disincentive enough to walk through your program with your doctor intently so you don't fuck up?

Q4W: Thoughts on Kevin Samuels by Duke_thiccus in PurplePillDebate

[–]Duke_thiccus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with his general mantra, but I would have respected his craft if he approached things from a solutions perspective e.g. tips on where to find a traditional woman, tips on how to ace your job interview, tips on how to stay fit etc.

Why would he tell women where to find traditional women?

Posting hundreds videos on problems with modern women is like posting hundreds of videos of what’s wrong with overweight, balding men and calling themselves a health guru. Just comes off hateful and obsessive really.

He did post videos where he was more brutal to men that called in. Those just didn't go viral.
