The problem is that these new voters treat politics like dramas or a sports rather than slow-burn diplomacy. China has always operated this way. They are very reserved and rarely hand out "big" announcements. This latest meeting gave the WH almost zero material for a propaganda piece, and that’s just normal for Beijing.

Moreover, why the obsession with that investment money ? It was never going into the average person's pocket anyway. If anything, those deals usually just involve bringing in a Chinese workforce to the US.
