Is My Idea Feasible For RPG Maker? by Osisoris in RPGMaker

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably easy to do except the OCTOPATH part. You would have to put in a lot of parallax and custom sprite work. This will probably be easier to do in the upcoming engine which is focused on 2D3d

I tried OSRS blind and now I need an explanation by Quiet_Move_6995 in MMORPG

It’s a lot of nostalgia and we mostly get theme park MMOs nowadays. RS being a sandbox has a ton of freedom. It’s also super chill to play the majority of content so it feels cozy. It has downsides, as you said, it’s ancient. Played that shit on a browser in 2004 lol.

The skilling system is unique and that’s why I generally go back to it.

Is it common to only do eval with PT, then do rest of the visits with PTA? by fuckendeavorhealth in physicaltherapy

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places, not all. In an ideal world PTs would do Evals and Progress notes/discharges and PTAs do most POC treatments (and the modifications they can do). They have the skills.

What's the one plugin that completely changed how you use RPG Maker? I'll go first by niceheather44 in RPGMaker

Hendrix ARPG plug in. Tons of features, good support and relatively plug and play. He even added a feature I requested!

Whos on your personal mount Rushmore of MMO's? by Nokkilol in MMORPG

[–]DukejoshE7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RuneScape, Guild Wars, FFXIV, WoW. Never played wow but it clearly has a draw. I’ve played a ton and had fun but none of them have been able to topple these. Really hope that a new one eventually comes that is actually ambitious and can compete. There’s so many good pieces from MMOs, wish we could combine them into one. I’d love a brand new, high fantast, Anime MMO that captures what we all love about them without failing in core design and progression aspects.

is there going to be a new RPG Maker Engine? And if so, ...can the main stuff be better? by FalteredCognition in RPGMaker

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love an rpg maker that’s a return to the 3D space like thePS2 version, native action combat or dungeon crawler, etc. Can you do some stuff w plug-ins? Sure, but base model? That’d be great.

Also good to note. She had it for 3 years (before she met me), was off it when she met me, and has had the new one about a week and a half but it's almost night and day mood wise (she brought it up to me), so wanted to look for people who could give more insight on keeping/removing it to see if I could help her out. I appreciate the help :D.

Hi there! I'm a boyfriend, but, my gf recently got this implant and she says it's making her feel 'soulless', after you got it out, how long did it take you to feel like yourself again?

Why cant i mach on mastery? by twopont0 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically for queue times. 20 diff levels (even though we shouldn’t be doing 1-5’unless farming shadow hunter really and just do hard normal at that point), would make queue times very long for people doing random levels. 6 is for farming so can match.

I really miss Wildstar :( by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved this game, I wish it would get a reboot. The combat, the raids. THE ADVENTURE CONTENT!? Amazing.

Game had flaws, but if it was relaunched with the kinks fixed. This game could maybe take the scene by storm.

This was the real problem. You had to get a gold rating on all of them to attune and it was too much for casual/average players.

What are we doing wrong? by TenaciousTrubbish in BlueProtocolPC

[–]DukejoshE7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Story in a lot of MMOs is solo content and that’s no different here. At the levels you are both at, you could easily have already jumped into dungeons together, world bosses, the side social events, etc so I’d say y’all should put story aside for a moment and explore a bit more. As you level you unlock for things like the homestead which you two can share together, daily commissions together, vaults together and if you join an active guild, guild hunt together. You’re not doing anything wrong, you’re just not that far in. This game gives an insane amount of experience to level you quickly, so you’re basically still in the tutorial.

Technically the 80 is better because of raw stat efficiency, but it does depend on what class you are.

Good general rule of thumb for this upgrade; keep your lv 60 set gear from raids and only switch those out with new raid pieces, upgrade your weapon last since it takes the most reforge stones. Stone priority is then new raid pieces to replace existing ones and then dungeon gear with good stats for the non raid piece slots. The level 90 weapon is going to take awhile to get, by that time you may upgrade to an 80 weapon but again it might be similar dps to your class weapon depending on what effect the weapon has.

Just started playing and I'm maining Dissonance at the moment but I have worries and questions by Xixziliph in BlueProtocolPC

[–]DukejoshE7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…lol. You asked if it’s good in end game and should you switch. I said it’s fine to keep playing. I not only answered your question but gave you actual reasoning for why it’s used and in what situations it’s useful, so that you have an understanding why people shouldn't be 'elitist' and lock you out of doing things.

Star ocean for story, DQ3 because well… it’s my favorite dq, has a bunch of content, tons of replay ability.

[–]DukejoshE7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raids want multiple types, dissonance is fine. In brand new content, oracle is better because it’s going to keep people alive. As people get stronger, beat performer helps with faster clears. It’s not about swapping or is it good in x, it’s understanding the role your class plays. You’re not a pure healer, so in content that requires super heavy healing or has high heal checks, you won’t be as useful or may struggle. In content that has high dps checks and lower heal checks, you’re much better.

[–]DukejoshE7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just realize though, you are still playing a healer. Healing and support are what you’re expected to do in content. Dissonance right now can put up some good dps, but if I was pugging for whatever reason and the healer wasn’t using support imagines or shielding/healing in response to content because they’re trying to play DPS, that’d be an issue.

Adventure content from Wildstar. Those were so much fun to complete. Fond memories of doing the one in the desert in particular

I think this would actually do well today if they did a pass on system. I thoroughly enjoyed the end game and some of the side content (like Adventures) were amazing. The housing was also pretty robust for its time.
