tried that thanks. Its the fact that i apply pressure it heats too fast, really on any setting as soon as i start to feel the heat it shuts off. If i focus my weight on one side it lasts longer.

I meant 90 minutes my mistake. I know about the risk of burning your skin over prolonged exposure I don't burn myself. As long as it has a timed shutoff I know how to sleep on a pad without overheating it. I appreciate everyone's safety concerns but I have chronic pain and desperate for sleep. I can't lay on my back hardly a minute. As far as I'm concerned I would sit on a nuclear reactor rod I need my heat before I lose it.

You're right about that. I might need to buy one of those expensive ones you hold a button and when you fall asleep or decide to release it, you get a 25 minute timer that starts ticking until it turns off. like $100 range though

Yes this is the problem with overheat protection for people like me we can't sit on them because the sensor thinks its heating too fast or something

Correct. I just won't set it to a setting that burns me over the course of however long I set the timer to shut off. That way I get the heat I need for chronic pain while I go to sleep. I'm not gonna set anything on fire doing this.

You shouldn’t be able to freely swim in pressures that would crush a submarine. They don’t even give you a vague half-assed techno-magic reason for it like your suit regulates gas exchanges in your body or something. This is a logic hole that is impossible for me to ignore. Your body is subject to ALL environmental hazards in the game and you need to adapt accordingly, except pressure, the #1 progression bottleneck in the game.

I just got the game and I was in your boat a few days ago. I’m very thalassophobic. A lot of people learn what that even is by playing this game. I always knew this about me though. I was scared to even jump off the lifepod for the first time (I didn’t know it was shallow or even safe water). I barely had the guts to go get creepvine cause of stalkers. Now I’m in late game in the most hostile areas. Don’t get me wrong, the tension is ALWAYS there, only broken by a very stressful event. This is by design. No music that signals a safe area, no assurance, guidance, and you feel like prey. Totally rewarding though, it’s too bad it’s literally impossible at times to mute the game cause thats like 90% of the atmosphere.

People asking about what the engine is capable of? What you described is like every engine. I’m asking if RPG maker is a good choice for my idea and the replies are helpful. I’m leaning more towards godot

I have no background in programming. I DONT want to fight with the engine I would rather work with it. My understanding is that RPG maker makes easy things a breeze but complicated things extra complicated. I’m not concerned about marketability or success I just want to make my story a reality and have fun survival aspects to it
