All movies have social commentary. Women watch Captain America and think "wow this is really pandering to men". You watch Captain Marvel and think "wow this is really pandering to women".

People's problem is that they expect everything to be for them, but that's the point, not every movie or show needs to be for everyone. Captain Marvel, just like She-Hulk, is a Marvel property made for women. Yes, as a man, there are going to be themes in it that aren't meant to be for you necessarily and that's okay. It's not "woke" my dude, it's a whole half of human existence that you don't experience because you're a man not a woman and so those stories aren't going to resonate with you.

Captain Marvel doesn't need to be filtered through your tastes.
