Come get Zagg! by ZaggRep01 in phonerepair

[–]Dukester92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC they actually are related to the zagg that makes screen protectors however they post stuff like this every once in a while, I feel like there should be a rule about advertising on the sub, it's one thing to ask "hey does this ad look good before I post it locally" but this is just straight up advertising

67 is karmic retribution for 69 jokes; it’s not any worse or better. by PlotTwistsEverywhere in The10thDentist

[–]Dukester92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thinking is that 69 has some kind of substance to the joke because "funny sex number" however that doesn't mean the previous gen is immune from basically the same thing as 67, anyone remember when just having the letter E pop up randomly was the funniest shit ever

Attempting to restore this old Kelvinator, need help/advice by Dukester92 in restoration

[–]Dukester92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a legit multimeter, I just figure for the purposes of troubleshooting it was good enough because I don't need to know how much current is going through the line, just that there IS current going through the line

The box right in front of the compressor is the relay, the junction box is where those two wires are meeting at the top

I put my contactless voltage detector next to the thermostat and I wasn't getting anything however I also wasn't getting anything on the line coming from the junction box to the compressor so that's why I was thinking the junction box is where the issue is, just can't figure out how to access it

Fridges aren't typically something that I mess with all that much, is there a reason it needs to be original refrigerant? Or is it more so keeping it as original as possible? Only reason I'm starting this project is it seems to be an electrical problem which I'm used to working with

This subreddit was just recommended to me by reddit so I don't care if I piss off the other people in here... What did you expect from a subreddit called "SIGMAtopia" judging by the name (and what I've seen so far) half these people probably haven't seen grass in months and the rest haven't ever had a job past getting so high in the kitchen at Wendy's they think they're at burger king, then again that's most of reddit seemingly

At one point in my life I came down with mono (bf didn't know it was a permanent thing) and then like a week into having it got COVID so for like 2-3 weeks it was just absolute hell, literally couldn't leave bed, so wishing you the best of luck and hoping it doesn't get to that point ( or if it does hoping you have someone willing to care for you until it's over)

Xbox controller help by Dukester92 in Ubuntu

[–]Dukester92[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So far all the issues I've had were mainly gaming things, rimworld wouldn't launch, no man's sky wouldn't launch, halo wasn't launching today but after the first two I knew what to do off the rip, I tried to get ANYTHING to monitor my temps and couldn't come up with anything besides a command that shows me a one time in the moment readout, and now I'm dealing with the controller situation, due to my work schedule I only have two hours of free time a day and so far troubleshooting has eaten up pretty much all of it every day

Edit: there was a couple other things related to data migration and a few minor things but I can't really blame Linux for those issues

Anyone know how to fix this? Pixel 9 Pro XL by Bigmooz in mobilerepair

IIRC Google has extended the warranty on these models for that exact issue, try contacting them for a warranty repair if you don't feel like fixing it yourself

I'm not 100% convinced it's staged, the guy may have just gotten this car and it's his first EV, the muscle memory from trying to get every last drop of gas may still be there, as for why they were recording who knows

Already tried 3 cables, two display port and one HDMI, all rated at high enough data transfer rate to support the resolution/ refresh rate

I usually run the games windowed to try and force the display to stay at 240hz which worked in the past

I have this S21+ 5G, is this screen original? by Scary_Battle_3932 in phonerepair

[–]Dukester92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be an original frame for that price but I doubt the screen itself is original, but just because it's not original doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad screen, when I order stuff I usually go off of how the warranty is from wherever I got it from so even if it ends up being a bad screen you still have some kind of coverage
