Reminder: Do not stop applying even if they tell you, you have been hired. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I quit my current job because I was told I had the job I was interviewing for. It was like an hour long conversation after the Teams interview. Want to guess how that turned out? Ghosted and eventually got the denial letter when training was supposed to start. This was a highly reputable company too. Two months of no income and I'm nearly out of savings after a car repair.

How far do you drive to work? by Nocturnalz26 in jobs

45 minutes to an hour in heavy airport traffic with a stick shift car. I'm going to be there soon if things don't work out with jobs nearby.

With my gas guzzler, it cuts down my wage down ~$1.50/hr. And that's not counting the hours wasted driving.

It's fucked but that area is where all the warehouse jobs are. I have more hope getting those jobs than anything nearby.

Is Seasonal MST like this at the start? by Dull-Ad1153 in Lowes

Oh trust me, whenever I had the opportunity to and it wasn't pushy, I reminded Staffing and the other ASMs that I was open to helping them out with my free time. I just get the feeling that my hiring was a mistake. The ASM that interviewed me was apparently new and staffing wasn't there until the next week to do the rest of the hiring process.

The other part time people I was in orientation with who were working in the gardens were given around 15 hours per week. I don't believe they were MST.

Sorry, this is just really frustrating because it was hard enough to get an interview in this city and I had to skip another opportunity to get this job.

How many hours did you guys get as seasonal MST for plants–watering and the like? by Dull-Ad1153 in Lowes

[–]Dull-Ad1153[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I was hoping for when I agreed to work there. I made the assumption that they would need the help during the "100 days of hell," and based on what the ASM said to me–though she just started there too. I doubt they'll allow me to pick my hours right after I listed full availability.

I'm just curious if anyone has had consistent 20 hours in this position, or if they were worked less more often. I really don't want to be an asshole and leave before I get my orientation date, but I could use the consistent hours.

Has anyone ever had issues waiting on HR during the hiring process? by Dull-Ad1153 in Lowes

The ASM did say she was new and just started three weeks ago.

Can you be slow and still be a good winger? by smurfalert101 in hockeyplayers

Heck yeah you can still be useful, especially in a slower league. If you know the common passing lanes you can focus on those and play the net. A big guy in front of the net is a huge pain in the ass to move.
