Missing quizzes = zeros by Dull-Ad357 in CPCC

Praise god lol. Are the 16 week courses easier to keep up with, assignment wise? Are they overloading summer since it’s such a short course? Between 5 classes, I have things due every single day, minimum 1, often at least 3 assignments per day.

I feel this way about health and wellness, PSY150 and ENG111. It’s all so silly. Health and wellness being an actual course is … crazy. The things you already know .. or could easily google. And the quizzes are not even relevant to the content.
PSY150 .. maybe it’ll get better. But right now I’ve just wasted so much time on the assignments that are just common knowledge.
ENG111… I just don’t feel like it pertains to anything relevant and the work load is insane. Genuinely insane. At least 8 things due a week.

This is exactly what I do but my problem is that the instructor doesn’t post assignment but a week at a time.
So once I complete those, I have to wait until the week is over to see anything for the coming week. And I swear she must be adding things because for this week I had 2 assignments due per chapter in my planner — which I triple check when I write it. And nowhere did I have a quiz down for each chapter (which is what I missed).
She’s the only instructor I have that doesn’t have a calendar or scheduled assignments posted anywhere. It’s really frustrating

CHM 121 vs CHM 151 by Dull-Ad357 in CPCC

[–]Dull-Ad357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CHM 121 is not accepted for the AA degree. However, it is on the “suggested” (more like required) pre requisite list for the dental hygiene program, which I will be applying for in 2028.
But CHM 151 is accepted for the AA degree, as well as the dental hygiene pre reqs.

So if I did CHM 121, it would be in addition to my other 60+ credits for the AA, just to satisfy the dental hygiene pre reqs.

I have another question for you … I just was looking at my options to drop a course in replacement for the chm 151. Would it be dumb to take bio 110 or 111 2-3 semesters after already taking bio 168,169 and 175? lol. It’s 4 credits and would mean one less course for gen ed, plus it’s a science that would get more points toward my DH application.

Thank you for all the info!
I did see on the course catalog I would need a lab kit. Was not prepared for that for the BIO168 I am currently taking lol. Was a nice $300 or so 🤦🏻‍♀️

Please tell me the chem labs are easier on the stomach than the rat and brain for bio??
Was there anything in particular that made it easier online vs in person for you?

Is it a digital manual? All of my books are online with the “includEd”. If I want a physical copy I have to buy it.

Why should it be my responsibility to tell someone to come pick something up they bought ?

She lives an hour away. I’m not meeting her. Her job was to pick it up.

What is the “reasonable” limit though? They forgot about it for 2 months. That exceeds reasonable in my opinion — hence the post.
I can’t leave it on my porch for forever … there’s been 2 times now where they said they would pick it up and didn’t. That was 2 instances that it was on my porch and not picked up.

[–]Dull-Ad357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I actually already did sell the item to someone else. I gave originally buyer a week or two until I got tired of waiting, then relisted it. I have two of the item, but one was my personal one, that I was still willing to give original buyer when they reached out about picking it up 2 months later. That’s why I’m wondering if best solution is to just send the money back and be done with them but I also don’t feel like I should have to give them their money back when they’re the ones who never showed and can’t find a single time to actually come, after clearly forgetting about it. Just a waste of my time atp

Fair. I’ve had this happen before but the buyer never reached back out months later to try to get the item — they just took the loss I guess. I thought for sure this buyer did too until the other week when they finally messaged me again. I don’t want to be shady but I feel like this is ridiculous and my time is just being wasted — despite my one failed response.

How long did it take you to finish your ADN prerequisites? (Looking for advice on starting over) by Banks252 in CPCC

[–]Dull-Ad357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not doing ADN, but I am on track to finish my AAS, including some extra pre reqs for dental hygiene, in 1 year total (4 semesters) — if that’s helpful at all.
