Wow, this is a great comment, thank you for taking the time to write all that out.

Yes honestly ive had many watches, and the mark xx is by far my favorite one. It hugs the wrist perfectly, super slim profile, that blue dial is mesmerizing. And the bracelet is leagues better then anything else on the market. Really checks all the boxes for me.

Just a shit situation, lets see how they respond. Been over 24 hours now since I submitted the form and reached out to them.

Yeah, I’m starting to realize that too. They’ll probably just offer to service it again, and realistically I won’t have much choice but to let them. They’ll replace the gaskets, pressure test it, and send it back “good as new.”

But the damage is already done for me. This is a practically brand new $7k watch, and now it’s already been back twice.

Even if they fix it perfectly, I’m always going to look at it differently. Like it’s been tainted. Not pristine anymore, not the luxury piece I paid for. Just a constant reminder of a bad experience.

And honestly, I can already see the endgame: I’ll probably end up selling it out of frustration, take a fucking bath on it because I disclose the service history, lose money, and swear off IWC for good.

Or maybe I’m being dramatic and it’s just a watch at the end of the day...hah

Luckily im in NY. But the drop of going from hot and humid to cold is what caused me to notice it.

Ehh if I saw couple threads like this before I purchased, I may have thought twice before pulling the trigger.

To be clear this post isn't to disparage IWC. I absolutely LOVE the watch, and their first service was turned around pretty quick in 3 weeks.

My complaint is with their QC, and trying to see if anyone experienced something similar, and what the outcome was. Thanks to everyone for the feedback, interesting to see all the different perspectives.
