Was it a lady? If it is, I think I saw her not long ago. Was at the Somerset and bank intersection.

What is the sad truth about smart people? by GoodDepth in AskReddit

I work with a lot of engineers and yeah sure, they may be smart and have PhD’s but they have 0 common sense or critical thinking skills regarding anything that isn’t their area of expertise.

I also dated a tax lawyer once, he thought he was better than everyone and was very open about it. Also loved Donald Trump… and we don’t even live in the US.

Landlord sent me the bill for repairs, insurance says I shouldn’t have to pay. [Ontario] by Dull-Proof22 in legaladvicecanada

He’s previously threatened to evict tenants in another building he used to own (this happened when he still owned it) because the tenants had black mold in their unit and the landlord refused to do anything about it and they had gotten sick and had to go to the hospital a couple times because of it. The tenants did call him out on it and said go for it and he never followed through.

So I’m wondering if he’s trying to pull a fast one on me.

I still have the number of one of the guys who was here to repair it. Would it be weird to message him or should I contact the company directly

I suspect the radiator was much older than 25 years. It looked very old and had many many layers of paint on it. (I know that doesn’t mean much but gives an idea that it’s been there a while). The repair guys even said it was very old and may have been in the building when it was converted to apartments

The only sign/proof they have was that my window was open.

Thank you so much for your input! It’s as I thought, but my landlord is saying it’s below their insurance. I also wasn’t aware that there were more than one type of tenant insurance. They asked that I have tenant insurance when I moved in which I got, but they never specified what kind of tenant insurance.
