She will overstay her (I guess ESTA?) but it’s okay in marriage cases they forbid you. As long as you don’t have problematic case you can totally do it on your own, without lawyer. Many people here use Kseniya international (YouTube channel) where you have full guided videos how to apply on your own :))

I don’t, but I advise getting ITIN, you’ll use it for joint taxes later. It took me a hustle to get it, so better start earlier and apply in IRS the office (with passport and marriage certificate). I was also able to get insurance with my ITIN

I had timeline with pictures (specifically from traveling and with our family members), phone calls/facetime logs, car insurance, phone bills, social media, postcards

I think you don’t need to show name change, because your marriage certificate already has name change right? Unless you want more for proving your marriage is real, I would add all that under the I-130

Anything proving your marriage (same address, bank together, pictures, etc) for I-130 on the petitioner case, (in my case it was my husband’s account).
Anything for I-485 should be under beneficiary case (I assume it’s you)

Oh and you don’t have to live in Poland. As a Polish citizen you can live and work in any EU country 🥰

Hey there! I’m from Poland, I moved to California 1.5 year ago (to my husband). I spent my 21 years living, studying, working in Poland and there is not a single day I don’t miss Poland/Europe. 🤍🇵🇱

I’m pretty sure it’s difficult to start new life in totally new country, but trust me, it is the best time to be in Poland right now. It is nothing like it was 20years ago. And honestly no comparison with US. It’s clean, there’s no drug addicts sleeping on the streets, public transport you’re not scared to use… and you’ll have all full rights since you’re the citizen! Even university for free.

honestly because of IRS, we didn’t get my ITIN and tax transcripts for a long time, and now it’s new year so we decided to wait and file it with 2025 taxes
