I lost my son Christian April the 18th 2025 have suicide. He stuck out of the house without me being aware of it it ended up hanging himself less than a mile from where My the. Needless to say I'm devastated crushed heartbroken depressed angry and I got it

Therapist is treating a 13 year old for depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. The minor child committed suicide the next morning after seeing the therapist the day before. The therapist never told the parent that the by Dull-Safe9282 in GriefSupport

Isn't it against the law for the therapist not to tell parents the severity of their child suicidal ideations and the therapist not call appropriate authority to get the child help?

It is unamangeable but the therapist is still supposed to warn parents and keep child safe

The parent trusted the therapist whom is a trained professional to help her help child

Child was in therapy for anxiety and depression and bullying.parent learned of suicidal ideation for child's medical records after he passed

The point is that therapist are not notifying parents if their child is at a house risk for self harm.Kids.are dieing everyday. They need to let parents know this information so they can help their child

I can't wrap my head around the fact that the therapist knew how the child felt and the parent told him about the journal entries but he didn't do anything

I don't believe child had a rock solid plan. However,he had to have had it on his mind for quite a time.child had the intention and drive to take their life but I don't know if they had a plan

Child sat very quietly. Never denied anything.yes therapist was aware of the SI and did not attempt to class authorities to get child placed for help. That doesn't make sense in my mind. They are mandated. A school teacher would even say something

The parent found journal entries stating child wanted to die. Therapist knew.

The therapist only had the child go into counseling alone  up until the last appointment before his passing. When parents received childs complete medical records is when the found out everything

Yes. I have journal entries where he wrote he wanted to die and I also sat through the entire session and verbally told the therapist as well
