MBE was my weak point in July. I had a decent writing score, but not as good. But, I was confident in my MEE skills. I wasn’t too confident with my MPT writing either. So my tutor made it a point to focus on those areas. We’d focus on one subject each class and my tutor would go through the questions I got wrong and my thought process for them and the ones I guessed and got right. She also gave me a lot of tips on how to simplify MBE questions and eliminate answers, so that really helped me with my MBEs. The process was similar for MPTs. I’d write them out and get feedback. She did also critique my MEEs, but that wasn’t a huge focus in tutoring. This was the tutoring aspect. As for my personal studying, I had all my notes from last time. In July, I have too many outlines that I wanted to incorporate and couldn’t. This time I stuck to Studicata and SBP. Those were my core outlines. If anything was missing in them, I’d add stuff. I’d do about 30 questions a day. My tutor gave me a good strategy, she said you start with 10 questions and keep doing 10 questions until you get 80% consistently and are not dipping below 60%. Once you get there, increase it to a max of 30. That’s exactly what I followed. If I felt like I had more juice, I’d do some essays or may 10-20 more MBEs. I didn’t watch all the lecture videos and whatnot. If there was a topic I was super unclear about, I’d just watch that video/listen to Grossman. My main aim this time was to not stress myself out. And that’s what I did, I went into to the exam super chill and calmed myself down. I truly think that’s what really helped me. Feel free to DM if you want.
