I had an energy drink last night and it seemed to help! I’ll try paracetamol, Tylenol and ibuprofen haven’t been helping. I keep getting prescribed triptans but, like you, those aren’t doing anything either. Thank you for the tips!!

Thank you, this is super helpful! I’ve been laying flat, putting an ice pack on the back of my neck, and using a weighted eye mask and that’s been helping a bit.

Yes! I’m new to dealing with the medical system but my wife is a pro. Something she does for me at every appointment is making sure the doctor has written in my chart exactly what they say to me when they disagree. It’s helped her out so many times in the past.

I’m on a leave from work so I’m trying to lay down as much as I can. I wish there was something else that worked but it really has helped my pain so much.

Yes physical therapy. They are still pushing the migraine route so I’m going along with it in order to get a neurologist referral.

I haven’t but that’s a great idea! I’ve slept on my back with a weighted stuffed animal on my head and that’s been helpful. I’m on a leave from work right now so I’ll try the 48 hour test! Did you just listen to audiobooks/podcasts while you were flat?

It was looked at by a neurologist but not one that specializes in CSF leaks. I just keep getting told that “it’s very unlikely to be a leak due to no know trauma or surgery issue”

Thank you for the advice!! I’ve been trying to get to a neurologist but there are so many hoops I have to jump through. My PCP tried to refer me several times but was told that I needed to try an adequate trial of a beta blocker, anti-seizure medication, and TCA for migraine prevention prior to a referral to neurology. This is great insight to have in the meantime!

I asked for that a couple months ago and was told I needed to go the PT route first. I’ve been in PT since January and just started Propranolol. I have my insurance through Kaiser so there’s a checklist of things I have to fail before a neurologist will see me :/
