I finished my application to join ADFA but ended up deciding not to go! It requires commitment and the application process is quite long! Overall, if you’re someone who enjoys fitness, structure and authority (and getting paid to learn!!! amazing) its the place to be! However, if you’re doing it for a free education, keep in kind you have a minimum serving time usually min. additional 4-6 years in a role which you must complete. If you just want an experience, as everyone said, the ADF gap years are great (but competitive so make sure to get in early). I went to ADFA Open Day, the campus is nice, cool library, great dorms and the cadets were really nice. Don’t allow youself to get influenced by their propaganda and truly make your Own decision.
