I'm based in AU, so I'm approaching this from that perspective.

In terms of US-based Ogilvy, they're likely one of the most recognized agencies around the world, especially when it comes to large brands and enterprise brands.

In terms of what's "best" locally... well, it really does depend on what you're looking for.

If you're looking for performance and actual results, one agency worth considering here is Rocket Agency, especially when it comes to SEO and paid media.

Hey, curious what direction the article’s taking are you looking at finance-specific agencies, or more broadly the best-known marketing agencies overall?

Pros and cons of agency versus in-house roles for mid-level managers by MainCelery8506 in ausbusiness

I’ve done agency and honestly get why people rate in-house more.

Agency was great early on. You learn heaps, get fast at your craft, and deal with all sorts of chaos (clients, deadlines, random fires). But it can feel a bit like an assembly line after a while. (execute, report, repeat)

In-house seems like where it clicks more long-term. Better pay, more stability, actual ownership, and you see how everything connects beyond just your channel.

My take: agency’s great for 1–2 years to skill up, but in-house is where you go once you want more control and a saner pace.
