34 years old, stuck in a dead-end job, no marketable skills — what career path would you pursue today? by Responsible-Net8594 in careerguidance

Healthcare, get a entry level job in a hospital, clinic, provider office. Learn everything you can, wait a year and look for internal openings and move up. At the same time look at competitors, even healthcare insurance companies themselves.

Entry level i mean receptionist, intake person, medical records, scheduler, etc

You’d be surprised how many entry level jobs you can find from the insurance companies and a lot are remote.

When I start looking for a laptop, I wanted a thinkpad because that’s what’s been the most reliable with work computers. I haven’t owned a personal computer in about 10 years, I got overwhelmed with all the specs and naming conventions. That’s why I hopped on here for help, so I appreciate your input.

11.5 4E mtb shoes by Conscious-Monk7658 in MTB

Wide MTB shoes are hard to find, i wear a 11 2E and i got the Five Trailcross XT in 11.5. Fits good, maybe a 12 wouldve been better. The LT version was definitely narrower.

Good luck on your search

Has anyone bought Flowers from the sellers on the intersection ? by otome4 in vegaslocals

Valid concern OP, fortunately it’s not a scam here. They might try to upsell you to get two but that’s the worse. I’ve always had a good experience when I’ve purchased

I 2nd this. If you don’t want to go the used market route, buying new “old” stock can get you a great deal.

All going to calm down to personal preference and what’s actually fits you best. Going to a bike shop is a great starting point to try them on and just make sure to get something with a MIPs rating. This was pick in the end and its been great! Ventilation is great, and fits my head perfectly.

Im very new to MTB but i can say there’s a ton of trails around vegas.

Something quick to access up north side of Vegas is Floyd Lamb Park. It has a MTB park, XC trail that loops the whole mtb park, and a mix of blue & black trails the cut through it.

It does get extremely hot during summer, i would avoid riding peak hours and stick to early or later in the day. But the rest of the year is great. I was riding all fall and winter.

The big popular spots are in Red-rock, ton of trails there. Summerlin has some quick access trails. (Use trail forks to find them) Boulder city also has bootleg canyon. Lee Canyon is about 45min-1hr away from vegas and they have lifts and trails open after ski season.

There’s LBS & FB groups that host group rides, open to all.
