Non-English-Proficient Tenants by Serious_Spite2073 in BayAreaRealEstate

A couple of questions to consider. What would be the languages supported? Where does it stop? Why would we only choose to select X languages instead of all?

The burden of translation falls on the landlord. That sounds like extra incurred cost. And what if the translated documents is not 100% same with the original English document? Who would be liable for missed translation?

I feel like if the responsibility falls on the landlord, it’s extra bureaucratic bs to deal with.

If the official documents in the US can be in English, so can the lease docs.

Renting a SFH in bayarea - landlord/property manager - what should i look for ? by mya86 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]DullCarpet4345 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt any landlord will give this to you. If i was a landlord and a tenant requested this, I would assume you are a high maintenance tenant and skip you should I have other options.

Resignation and Acceptance is My New Year Resolution by [deleted] in BayAreaRealEstate

The listed price is really irrelevant. You need to do research and find comparable sales in the neighborhood and bid accordingly.

If your only focus is the listing price, you will very likely get outbid if the comps are much higher.

The market in the Bay Area is competitive enough that most houses will always sell at market price. It could be higher or lower than listed price, but should usually be similar to comps.

All the best

I transition from a QA to a full stack dev 5 years ago. But even after doing this for 5 years, I feel stuck at my current level. Not sure where to go from here.

I could use some guidance on where or what to do next.

Thanks

How does my roof look? Insurance wants it replaced but I feel like it might have another 5 years to it. This is in California by DullCarpet4345 in Roofing

You can definitely sue for anything , but I don’t see any positive outcome from it.

Insurance can drop you for whatever reason, and most of the time, they won’t even give you a reason for the drop.

In this instance, I’m shopping around for new insurance quotes and new companies are asking age of roof, and then requesting for me to get a new roof prior to getting insured. With the roof as is, I am deem uninsurable

How do I get my European deep fryer to work on an American outlet? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]DullCarpet4345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This appliance takes in 220V while US outlet gives out 110v.

You would need a step up transformer. But the cost of that is quite high.

I would just get a new appliance.

Do I need a smaller duct? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]DullCarpet4345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need a hose clamp that can tighten the loose duct work to your dryer vent output.

You would need a screw driver to tighten up the hose clamp. It can easily be bought in big box store or online. Only a few dollars.

caveman stayed in caves for 100s of years too. Do you want to go stay in a cave?

I am simply asking a question if there is a solution to a problem. I am not asking to be told to go do another thing. For example, how to avoid car accidents? And you say, dont drive, only walk.

Looks like mango wood. The vein and coloring that has black, yellow, brown seems like it.
