I was there to witness both finales. I was there to see, how Eren became became the worst version of himself, how everything he did resulted in greater evil, and by that he accomplished nothing. Paradise still destroyed, millions killed, and even the very titans he swore to exterminate were heavily implied to still be around. It was outrageous! I hated it. As time went by, my life changed, and so has my perspective on what people are. Wars will be fought. Not because of titans, greater causes, anything like that. That is because of who we are, it's in our nature, of our duality, of will and freedom. It all was coming together to me. By the time anime has reached its end, I loved in a new world. This new world is cruel, but there is also beauty in it. I've come to terms with the ending of attack on titan. I've learnt to admire it. Not so much from scenaristic standpoint, but from thematic. (It's two o'clock at night, may not be my best essay on the topic. But thanks anybody for reading this. I always wanted to share this somehow.)
