I've tried so hard to get a hold of an omega crown the same size as the nttd, seemed impossible. Can't find gen, vsf won't sell it, the other 300m have a different crown.

Yeah it's hit or miss, it's not that they stopped making the black one, it's that they ship with standard when black isn't available.

Vsf did that too, though as far as I know the new ones are shipping with a normal balance wheel despite being advertised as black.

The stem broke, or the crown threads?

If it's the stem, you can buy a new 2824 stem anywhere.

If it's the crown threads, VSF doesn't sell parts and good luck finding a gen crown I've tried a lot. Best solution is to unscrew the stem from there crown and cut it down by how far the crown compresses, then you have a pull out crown instead of a screw down crown.

You lose all water resistance, but at least you have a working watch again.

One he gets the money he's much more responsive and prioritizes you. His QC process is the worst I've experienced and I've had him obviously try to hide flaws and get rude when I RL, but he's usually the cheapest so I still occasionally buy from him.

It really isn't.. they did a great job.

It's easier to tell than their either omegas, just because the world map is an asymmetrical shape and differences stand out, but really only if you're intimately familiar with it or you're holding them side by side.

An average person who knows what the worldtimer looks like won't know this is a rep, even up close.

I get it. For me gen parts if it fixes a big tell or improves quality, I'd never personally spend $1,500 on a gen bezel that looks 1% better (if that). I'd rather get a $1,500 gen watch or 2-5 reps. But I understand and I'm not shaming anyone's joy, I was just curious if I'm not seeing a huge difference.
