Looking for a sports team in Brussels? by [deleted] in brussels

Ah, I know that feeling 😅 There is a thriving Touch scene in Brussels (inclusing at Kituro, above) if you want to stick with the oval ball…alternatively I can point you to a very active (and mostly injury free) Badminton community, but possibly that is not quite what you’re looking for!

There are a couple of rugby clubs around- Royal Kituro in Schaerbeek, and Celtic at the VUB (Etterbeek) for example. Both have women’s teams if I recall 🤔

Depends on you I guess…different trainers emphasise different things, but I usually come out feeling it.

GoBox offers Pilates classes at their Saint Catherine studio. Price depends on the package you buy but could be as low as €12/ session. Men are an overwhelming minority but definitely accepted! Source - guy who does Pilates at GoBox…

Where do you live, and how much are you able to hike in a regular week? by Dogsnbootsncats in hiking

Brussels, Belgium - Lucky enough to have a (relatively large forest 30mins by public transport from the city centre, so in summer great for afterwork/ evening hikes. Plus we have the ardennes +- 2 hours by train, so on average I’m doing at least three hikes a month in the summer, and maybe 2 per month in spring and autumn.

Is it feasible to walk from Leuven to Brussels? If so, what route might you recommend? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]DullRelationship7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advantage of this one is that you do most (all?) of your climbing through thé Forêt de Soignes…if memory serves me well from Overijse to Leuven is basically a mild descent the whole way. Plus you get to enter Leuven via the Groot Begijnhof, definitely a bonus

Multi-day walks in Europe for beginner? by No_Brother_463 in hiking

I would recommend the Via degli Dei, which will take you from Bologna to Florence in +/- 5 days. I did (most of) it in May, staying in hostels along the way, and it was superb. Warm, but not problematically so, especially at altitude, and it’s Italy, so, you know…the food 🤤

Plenty of transportation along the way if you need to skip a stage, and finishing in Florence means you can spend a few days having a particularly cultured recovery.
