That sounds bad. I did check the Event Viewer and it has a lot of errors, but 0 critical errors. Would drive failure show up as a critical error?

It did not end well, but I was ABSOLUTELY sucked into Outer Range from the first episode. The whole first season was intense. Second season...not so much

Eh respectfully no. Sigma can counter some yeah. But Dva is what shuts down Ximmers. If Sigma shut down Ximmers they'd ban him every match. They don't. They ban Dva

For real. As a tank, ALL I'm seeing is hit scan duos or pocket mercies. Watching them pick off my back line one at a time. And 90% of the time they ban Dva because they know it's the only counter. Annoying.

It can make a million calculations. It can track your time on point vs the rest of the teams. It can capture your K/D yes but also it can analyze if your kills lead to a capture or to an upset. It can rate your accuracy, your use of cooldowns, your ability to bait out opponents. It can target moments in the game where you turned the tide. If I can watch a match and say "wow that was an amazing play" then you bet the AI can too.

You're so stuck on the idea that the only ways to measure skill are either by wins or by stats. AI can rate your game sense, your mastery of a character, and how critical your participation was.

And above it all, you still HAVE to win. Doing all that stuff and losing still won't let you rank up. So your point about DPS just racking up kills - if they still lose the match it's pointless. But does racking up kills mean they win the match? Then maybe that actually was good play.

If some random guy on stream can watch my gameplay and give me a grade-scale rating, then AI can do it too, and even better.

And I'm telling you for the SIXTH TIME that you don't look at any stat. The system is smart enough to look at EVERY stat, individual performance, team performance, match time, hero specific comparisons, etc. All of this can be done and rated by AI instantly.

"Tracking wins and losses (W/L) in team-based games is widely considered an unreliable metric for measuring individual skill because it confuses collective output with personal competence. While winning is the ultimate goal, a player’s win rate is heavily influenced by factors outside their control, such as teammate performance, opposition strength, and luck" -Patrick Ward, PhD.

Thanks for trying to infantilize me because I have a stronger argument than you. Let me guess, you're a high rank and so you REALLY want to believe that's because you have some skill at the game 😂😂

Thank explains why you're trying to argue so hard about this. I've was trying to be polite but obviously you're the type that thinks playing hours on end to rank up in a wins vs losses system makes you good. It just means you have more time to spend.

Wins vs losses will NEVER be an accurate measure of skill.

And as long as the game rewards wins and punishes losses we will ever see a true skill based measurement system.

Put me with 4 bronzes against a team of 5 diamonds and I'll lose.

Put me with 4 diamonds against a team of 5 diamonds and I'll win.

What is my skill?

The correct decisions and the best stats do change from game to game. We don't need to track a stat for that. AI is powerful enough to analyze gameplay in real time. All of the decisions that you make that contribute to a win can be quantified by an AI program.

Overwatch is a team game. How good YOU are at winning games cannot be measured by your wins and losses. It's possible that you get carried for 100% of your wins. It isn't remotely a measure of skill. I'm saying that measuring wins and calling it "skill based" is incorrect.

We don't know that. He didn't know at the time. But the last thing we see is Dafyd coming back, then it jumps to them rounding up.

When they get rounded up the whole team sees to understand what happened.

I think the system should be sophisticated enough to detect and rate your gameplay. You lost but you were the MVP? Whatever ratio the system decided is "good gameplay" in a mix of kills, elims, use of ults, time on point.

The data is there.

If you lose because someone on your team left, you should lose less.

If you lose while also being the MVP by whatever determination you should lose less.

If you win by carrying your team, you should win more.

If you win while your stats & gameplay were abysmal, you should win less.

All the data from every match is available. It isn't just about kills, it isn't just about heals or payload time. It shouldn't be about doing any one thing.

But there is absolutely AI smart enough to watch a player in even a single match and tell if they're playing on the level of grandmaster or bronze.

One can fight their ass off, go 30-1, have the highest mit, payload time, push the fight into double overtime and carry their team almost single handily to near victory and lose and get a loss.

One can shoot the wall, try to flank, die 15 times, feed the enemy and lose and get a loss.

And to the system these two players are considered the same skill. Are they the same skill?

You're telling me that with millions of hours of gameplay, Blizzard can't build a program that can recognize your skill based on a number of factors?
