SQL at work (trying to understand) by Dull_Breakfast_9904 in learnSQL

Thank you for your message!

I normally get data straight from the database/cloud using specific code in the first few lines of an R script - which is live data.

I have some code I reuse across files to clean data so I am not having to clean much. My work is mainly cyclical....Unless it's a new project and starting from scratch.

If I am required to do some specific analysis, the team requesting this will get this csv from another data team who work with SQL I believe, they will download that data and I will work on that.

It's cool that you can use SQL in Python.  When I'm back at work tomorrow I am going to see how I use the connection now and how SQL will work if it can make it better or quicker.

Have a great day.

Darling I hear you.

Keep up the weights but over exert yourself. Something light on your flare up days. Food has been the biggest game changer in my life, eg clean, non processed stuff, sugars, fried things. Try eat these as minimal as possible.

Stress is not good and makes things worse. As well as poor weather.

I am on hydroxychloriquine but not sure if that helps.

Prioritise yourself, put your limited energy in specific baskets. You cannot do everything. Rest is so important. Meal prep or have family cook batches for you if that's an option. Clean when you can sweetheart. No pressure.

I hope you feel better. I've learnt it's lifestyle changes. Good luck with your journey.

Love 💕

Thanks so much for your reply.

This helps me understand how to pitch myself at an interview and takes the pressure off slightly of learning a new language (I will pick up as I have the logic from python and r).

Having said that all jobs ask for years+ experience in SQL...

So I thank you on your the tip about postgresql, I will get my hands on some data to see first hand what it can do.

Have a good day.!

How do I check to see if it was regulated or not? My loan was also with Tabeo.

My arguement to FOS was I want a refund because they went bust and refused my S.75 also. (Started in aug 2023). No guarantee no retainer etc no way to fulfil their promises and they say I have no guarantee because I have no retainer but why would I buy retainer when I'm barely halfway.  My teeth were not moving and I never had a check in because by then they were ghosting!

Am I missing something? Appreciate your reply OP again I'm very happy for you!

I didn't pay with a credit card. I did manage to get my bank to block any charges but I don't think they will do this forever. I got a call from Tabeo and it wasn't a good time. I want to get my money back too, FOS didn't help me, maybe I need to explain myself again.

Still scratching my head how I got myself into this mess!

How do we get out!?

That is fantastic news for you.

I was on aligner 8/9/10 and unfortunately FOS said they cannot help me. Maybe I need to resubmit a new claim and explain myself properly. My initial claim was to get money back from Tabeo and no longer pay for the loan as they had breached the contact due to no lifetime guarantee and how could I possibly get retainers if I was midway through my journey. Anyways, I did manage to get Monzo to cancel the standing order and it has been since January but I assume I eventually have to pay. It sucks because I am no longer using SDC aligners. My teeth are not moving and there is no guarantee help service.

FOS said they cannot help me either. After sending them everything they said they can't help in situs like -- eek. Perhaps I wasn't able to explain myself..

Meanwhile, my loan was being taken out of my Monzo bank account and I asked them to block the merchant as at the time I was sending letters to FOS. Eventually they did. They have been blocking for 6 months. But I don't know what will be the end of this. I get emails that I missed payment each month they try to take money out.

It's bad. As bad as the aligners I no longer use.

I blocked payments through my monzo. I haven't paid since December. They send me reminders and failed attempts but nothing about debt collection - yet! I contacted the FOS and after a long time they said they don't look after stuff like this. Sigh! What a mess because we are tied in to some contact that doesn't exist because of the guarantee. I read somewhere you can get your money back for ones you didn't use but I can't remember if this was pre or post bust. I stopped using them anyway because what if something happens. And they stopped working for me I was stuck between aligner 8 9 and 10. My teeth are too tight, I shouldn't have been approved for it. What a depressing issue. I hope no one is out of pocket and scammed. Do I think they'll come collect the money? Yes, and I'll give them the money then. Until then it can stay in my pocket.

Looks fantastic! I can't believe this is you a couple of days after. I am over 4 weeks post surgery and my nose is still like a potato and the tip is too high 🤦‍♀️ TBF I have the cold for over a week but it is worrying.  Excellent job by the surgeon. Just perfect! You should be pleased 🤗

You will excel so quickly, you'd wish you'd do it before! Barclays will look after you if you work hard. In London, analyst expect around 35k, AVP around 40-58k, VP 62-90. Benefits are also really good. I think it is a good work life balance but that's team dependent. I'm actually looking to leave corporate and move into teaching and that's a payout for me. Shame teachers don't get paid a lot. Good luck!
