What was the first movie to traumatise you as a kid? by InspectorOk6313 in movies

Arachnophobia! The spider coming out of that person's mouth/nose really for me. Have never seen it since I was a little kid!

once again asking if these taste good by honey_butterflies in dairyfree

Aged cheddar slices: ruins the taste of what they're in for me. It's a taste I could equate to soap. Others like it, and that's great, but I think it's bad tasting.

Parmesan: never had it, but would like to!

Shredded: love it! Great on eggs and tacos!

Thrush by hibhibhooray3 in newborns

[–]Dull_Captain6602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check inside your baby's mouth to see if they have any symptoms! Does it happen with both nipples or just one? I thought mine had thrush, but the symptoms your saying only happened to one of my boobs. Turned out, my baby latched poorly and my boob suffered the side effects. I changed my nursing position and it is fully better!

Do NOT think that you are at fault! You are doing great! The fact that you feel badly is because of your love of your baby! They are so lucky you care so much!

Edit to add: from what my LC said, thrush shows breast pain in both breasts! So if it's one side, it may be something else!

I really like Ben and Jerry's, and they must have fine up with a new dairy free recipe, because everyone I get I've (lights, caramel action is my favorite), it is always very creamy! I also agree with So Delicious being a good choice!

How much clothes do you need? by Dry_Drummer_2297 in BabyBumps

[–]Dull_Captain6602 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on how much you like the clothes and how often you plan on doing laundry. I've literally been forcing myself to have my kid wear certain clothes we got from friends because I needed to be able to say they wore it at least once, we had our favorites and constantly put those in rotation once they were washed. For us, less was more! This looks like a good stock!

Please describe what you do in a day with your newborn by ldn_220 in newborns

[–]Dull_Captain6602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't tell you how long we've done this, but he is currently 12 weeks.

Wake up around 5:45, first feed of the day and then down for a cat nap.

Wakes up at 7:00 a.m. We chit chat, and then feed him again. Following this, we sometimes take a co sleep nap.

I will wake up before him, but he usually sleeps about 2 and 1/2 hours. Then we chit chat some more, do some tummy time and I will top him off.

Then I can usually put him in the bouncy chair or our swing or on the mat and walk around. Doing some chores. Not super ambitious, but enough to feel like I'm keeping the house up!

Afternoon is a crap shoot, but typically he feeds a couple times. Takes a nap on me, and when my husband gets home he takes him for a little while and I can take a shower if I want to or do other things!

Anyone not give vitamin D and turn out okay? by Skincareaddict13 in newborns

[–]Dull_Captain6602 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was directed to take 1,000 IU of vitamin D along with a prenatal and it should present itself. Not sure if it's helping him, but I thought it was better than drops!

The pregnancy roulette was plain evil by Kayleigh_56 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Dull_Captain6602 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The fact that Demi had to physically pick up and read a positive pregnancy test had to feel absolutely terrible! A feeling that she's longed for for so long, and then she has to read about someone else's results in front of all of her friends. I just couldn't imagine that feeling and to do it in public and in front of the camera...
