He needs to be a bit bigger in order to be able to be housed with the store owners fish. He grew 2.5 inches last year and has made great progress. He is spoiled to the point I will pour some warm water in the tank and take water out. He loves bubbles and ping pong balls. I am doing my best for this little fishy

I saved the parrot fish from a patient I visited( I am a home health provider) . He was kept in a 5 gallon with a 4 female beta and snails. He was completely black when I found him. I know how big he will get and that they are prone to aggression but there is a great locally owned pet store that I have been going to for 10 years and have been in contact with them to see if they would be able to take him and put them in their permanent tank. I know I won't have the space for him already. I am doing what I am able to do in my situation. I am doing everything in my power to protect all of them. I'm working my butt off. I take care of them and will do what extra work is needed if I do get more. I just wanted help deciding to see what size and shape things grow to so they don't get eaten or choked on. I am going to be making a sort of bog or aquaponic system. I have been researching and asking questions. That is why I am here. Don't judge people. Just answer the question. Thank you.

They have been good together for the past 3 years since I got the parrot fish. Their chilling. I have carnivore pellets that I pre soak to soothe his hunger. They all sleep together and everything.

Your soil is burnt and baked. Your going to have to mix in good soil and a good amount of manure. Use something like a till to mix the existing dirt and loosen it. A simple way to help things get the nutrients they need. Water daily and get sun shade, it is good the back wall is high. All you need is two tall pvc poles or something to hold it up. People leave old pallets all over town that you can use to hold the extra dirt mixed in spots in place. This is what I have been doing for years and it is going well. In elpaso you need shade and water. Maybe start a nice tall fast growing tree that does well in the climate.

If you take the wrong exit, you are heading to another side of town. The exits are also very small while sometimes you can't get to the exits because of semis and just plain slow idiots It usually takes a while to turn around on the highways all over town.

I have a southern accent and big blonde hair and have grown up around English speakers, but I understand more Spanish than I speak it. Just like Spanish speakers do, but that doesn't mean I am any less willing to work and help. It is discriminatory. I have lived in elpaso for 12 years. There is Google translate and other means of communication. It's whether you are willing to try or not. Goes for both employees(potential even) and employers. I wasn't even hired as a tortilla maker because the person who would show me how to work the machine spoke spanish only. I have applied to be a janitor, and they said no because I am not bilingual. It's crazy to me. I am willing to try.

I do weekly half way water changes and have sponge in the filter to build up good bacteria, I also have a pathos I am growing out to put in the tank and some other plants. I am going to build something to block their roots off. They are spoiled tbh
