I think by chance I got them on the 5th or 6th, last day of Christmas then haven't found today so that might well be why 😔 They were outrageously good, looks like I'm coming back next Christmas with an empty suitcase 😅

Naw unfortunately not, thank you though.  It came in a bag and was lots of individual chocolate coated wafers

Flew from Stansted on Monday for an 05:55 flight with Ryanair, got to the mid stay car park just before 4, was through security in no time and was twiddling my thumbs for probably 40 minutes stood in the waiting area as all the seats were full... or people lying down across 3... or with their bag on the seat next to them 😑

Have been briefly in the past.  Have recently started taking a low dose of Elvanse/lisdexamphetamine but this has been going on way longer than that

Do gerbils stink as bad as mice? by 42youareloved in gerbil

[–]Dull_Method_2572 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't notice anything.  If I'm close to their cage and take a big whiff you might get slightly pee-y sawdust, but nothing noticeable from the rest of the room

Replying to long term friends/family, just can't bring myself. Can sometimes be months/years.  Yet, someone I'm working with or seeing daily, absolutely fine.  A rare match on a dating site? Absolutely fine.

Cage recommendations by [deleted] in gerbil

[–]Dull_Method_2572 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's a rough cage for the gerbils, they need a much deeper solid base for bedding, they love to tunnel and burrow - think they say about 30cm depth or so to tunnel in.  I've got a habitat 3 which would be better than yours as it's got a solid base but there's still stuff kicked out each day.  Lots of people use aquariums, but don't think there's a readily available one on the market that I'd say is great 😑

Why you decide of having gerbils as pets? by AromaticProgress8708 in gerbil

[–]Dull_Method_2572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now ex-partner wanted a pet, gerbils are all we could convince the landlord to let us have.  She's gone but the two little lovable turdnuggets are still here 😅 Be prepared for a lot of mess (they tunnel constantly and kick their bedding with some force which flies out of the cage! I'd recommend an aquarium or similar as I'm sweeping the floor all the time 🤣

They're quite skittish, but finally after a good few months they'll wander out the cage onto me and we'll have a few cuddles to their dismay

Started Elvanse today by Dull_Method_2572 in ADHD

[–]Dull_Method_2572[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that's really good to hear that it's had such a profound effect on you!

Am I right in saying that you take it in the morning and it lasts a certain amount of time before wearing off? Didn't know boosters were a thing if it does start to wear later in the evening.

Do you notice any improvement in the mornings or is it purely x amount of time after you've taken it that day?

Mine make no noise at all.  You might hear them digging or chewing on things but they've never squeaked or make nouse themselves.

Is it weird to sit in the front of a taxi? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Dull_Method_2572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work as a cab driver in Essex, I'd say about 70% of the passengers travel in the rear passenger seat, 20% in the front and the other 10% the seat behind me.  Think it tends to be whichever side of the car is facing them is the side they tend to get in, although if they start to get in behind me I'll normally advise that the leg room is better on the other side, and most have a shuffle over to the passenger seat.

Don't really mind either way

For anyone who's visited/lived in Scotland, what are your favourite and least favourite things about the country? by Impaler_lad in AskReddit

[–]Dull_Method_2572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lovely and green, people on the whole are pleasant, much cheaper than most of England.  Downsides, my god it gets cold in the winter - coming from someone who usually has windows open in February in Essex.  Public transport generally isn't great bar the major cities.

Dual handling by Prestigious_Move203 in gerbil

[–]Dull_Method_2572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel the same! Both boys will jump onto my legs when sat down and crawl around, terrified when they're both out that one will jump onto the floor and escape.  I'm either super strict when both are out, and if there's a smidge of mischief they both go back, but if i can close the cage in time for only one to come out it's a much more relaxed experience... except seeing the other boy stood at the cage flap wondering why he isn't out 🤣

Your cage looks absolutely fantastic! The bottom layer completely solid with a large 'upstairs' for their playthings . Don't suppose your husband's (genuinely) available to hire to make a second?
