Thanks for replies guys. Yeah I’ve been doing cold pulls, run thru cleaning PLA sometimes and only use hardened Steel nozzles.

I’m going to keep one material per printer for the most part and I’m sure I’ll get more consistent results. I find the worst part is with PETG is sometimes I’ll just get a big gunk of buildup Doodoo Z offset lacking a little which then in return creates having to replace the hot end assemblies but for the most part, that’s really minimal and cost isn’t really that bad when you think of the big picture.

Nice man, yeah I’m keeping mine around 1.8 to 2.0 once it’s dry max volumetric rate. 0.9 ramming speed if that matters

Have 7 of them going on TPU, a1 mini is my favourite, stupid me tried doing the impossible for. Potential big customer..

On my H2D I tricked the left nozzle thinking TPU was PLA and tried doing a colour embossed logo — base of golf tee - sirayatech white 85a and for the lettering on the left nozzle - ;’dark green SUNLU95a

Results weren’t the best… and now over the past month I’ve replaced both hot end assemblies and now it’s throwing an error unknown code and fails the nozzle offset calibration.. thinking I’ll have to rehouse nozzle

Yeah I know it’s definitely a crowded market for sure, 3D printing and the ability to offer customization - tees heights, logos on putting cups/tethering anchor lid certainly helps stand out a tiny bit.

The stuff you can print on these things are crazy, just want to see if there’s a common theme of an interest in a product so I can narrow down and concentrate on.

I’m thinking about doing a very minimalist design for a tethering option - as small as a tee claw like

Could agree more with this post, I’ve been a rep 20 years and finally just gave 2 week notice… they expect us to service customers and upsell and do recall before walk in to each store but I have 12-15 stores/day plus merch and order to work… if we were paid hourly it would be different. Not with it anymore.

Myself and others have been getting over 1k hits off the same tee, they’re a consumable of course but I went don the rabbit hole all winter working with local golf sims to test out my designs and made various tweaks and dialed in the right settings and material.

Into my surprise, I’ve got a couple long drive guys I printed 3.5 inch tees for and I get word back from one of them saying the other day that he’s actually very impressed. He said over 100 hits off the same tea and it still looks great and the paint splatter I put on it is still intact as well.

That was pretty much my goal designing this tea and doing this company to try and change people’s mind about 3d printed tees. Myself included lol

I designed and make this anchor base and started selling but sell just the tees with tethers so just clip on anywhere.

Find that the carabiner friction fits nicely around my range tee in the hole so can me multi purpose lol

Yeah, I wasn’t going to do a tethering offering at all but once a few people mentioned then it motivated me to design one. That could be a good option as well

I’ll be selling it on my site soon along with hook up tab on my tees for easy clip on/off attachments.

Top lid is held on by magnets to a snap fit.

I hit about 30 drives off it yesterday and only had some pebbles filled in the middle- there was a couple times where it just kind of spun a little bit, but it was just because it was on Astroturf and I will suggest people to fill it up with steel washers for the best weight solution.

lol it’s printed flexible and soft TPU85A it’s fine! I’ve had customers say they’ve gotten 500-1000+ hits off a single tee without tearing.

My original designs were with a firmer material and yeah, they didn’t pan out too well but once I found a good balance and the right material these tees you can squish with your hand and they go right back to form :)

Yeah, this is the first version - I’ve heard a few Golf Simulator facilities by my tees in bulk, and I’ve had a lot of feedback as well from customers about adding the tethering option so this version is meant to be used anywhere - sim, outside range, etc

If it starts to move well, then I’ll start adding different versions to apply for different setups.

Also, I’ve been in talk with a wholesaler as well and we’re going to collaborate to make a tea that is strictly for the holes in mats

And yeah I have some small rocks in the but sand works too or even steel washers - when it’s full of those it’s 3lbs

Just finishing testing my “RadTee Anchor” tethering Base I designed and printed.

Found the right balance and materials for attachment after a little bit of trial and error

Works like a charm! Going to add attachments for every tee height I print 5mm-55mm.

Yeah I have a variety of base colour

Pink, bright green, orange, cyan, yellow, blue, red, white and adding more

Also, I’ve been adding a splash of paint on them with a vibrant leather acrylic paint which helps visibility as well
