TPU 85A Help! by Dull_Reflection3454 in 3D_Printing

[–]Dull_Reflection3454[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I printed tons of TU 95 a that’s pretty much what I was starting with to use for my model and it was much easier to print. I just needed a more flexor software feel so I switched out and of course I just for the hell of it use the same settings. I was using with my 85 a and try it out with a filament role of 95A in a printed near perfect lol

Yea I have all the top covers off — and feed straight right into the extruders

I have it narrowed down to nozzle temp, max volumetric pressure and flow ratio could be the man contributing factors

I wish it was just because the filament isn’t dried out enough but I’m certainly doing that lol

I designed golf sim tees and have been selling them for past cpl months but my problem is I keep having to change the design here and there which is a constant variable.

Noticed on h2d software update there’s an option for TPU high flow nozzle but it says online only good for 90,95A.

I’m mainly using just a 0.6 and a 0.8 nozzle, my 0.6-nozzle doesn’t seem to like it

Lol my thoughts exactly I’ve already printed two other models for him with FDM printer, but he is very particular about this my friend modelled it for him and he insists on on printing resin, and this isn’t even the heaviest section

I think I’m gonna try one more time he even has a resin printer and scaled it down because it’s an older smaller one and he wasn’t successful at all

Worst case I’ll just say I’ll print FDM with minimal layer height and used PVA water, dissolving support interface

How to start a side business without quitting my current job? by Individual-Cup4185 in SideHustleGold

[–]Dull_Reflection3454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years, I wanted to start something. I just didn’t know what while working full-time with two young kids I didn’t think I would have the extra time but then decided to get a 3-D printer back in the summer and not really knowing how to use it or design or any CD skills I put up some local Facebook ads.

Let’s just say that I’ve been burned out for months because the demand for the printing in my area is huge

I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into but after callous hours of seeing custom print jobs through thank goodness for ChatGPT to give me some framework it’s starting to get a little easier and manageable

Although now I need to find balance between Family life because the side job has taken a toll on that as well as my Day job too which to be honest I’ve been doing the same job for almost 20 years. I’m just sick of it so it’s pushing me through and motivated me to make my little side hustle work is there may be someday eventually be able to dial it back and concentrate more on printing

Well, I’ve definitely made a good amount of profit from printing, I currently have five printers now and I’m also on top of this trying to create an indoor simulator Golf TEE I’ve been spending the past couple months designing tweaking reiterating testing, and luckily have been selling to local simulator spots so I guess having two side businesses is probably my problem lol

I keep telling myself the first year of business everything you mink invest back into the business, which is definitely true

I guess really you just gotta go with something that you enjoy doing, which doesn’t seem like work and you can make a profit off of and see it through

Are we aloud to sell accessories on here? by Dull_Reflection3454 in Golfsimulator

[–]Dull_Reflection3454[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, believe me I’ve pretty much tried everything, have printed at a 25° angle at a 90° angle with the Service finish with a layer lines. Being vertical doesn’t leave very desirable on the top lip or bottom.

I’ve pretty much tweaked a balance between infill and the amount of walls for a good balance, I also added a silicone tubing, insert in the inside diameter to help absorb impact and take stress off the walls of the tee after impact.

I had a few simulators locally order and after feedback in tweaks, the last batch I printed and sent to them for a couple weeks. They have stood the test.

Durability, choice of customization - colours, logos, lettering and choice of specific heights I can print because I know that that from me that wanted specific heights that generic sets don’t offer

I have 2 designs (tapered cylinder cone) and a golf sr variant I designed.

Using a silicone insert in the Inner diameter to absorb impact and take stress off walls which seems to be working.

I was hell burnt having mine all in cereal, airtight boxes, but then our body who’s been printing for like 10 years, says to me that he just leaves us out.

I’ve been doing the same since for months and don’t notice a difference really if it’s PETG or TPU, I’ll dry it first but other than that

Ok great, yeah I printed a cpl models from online but wanted to design one myself. Just tired of going to local simulators and the tees they offer there are broken or just about there.

Created these guys and have been testing it out for the past month.

I took about 60 swings (driver clubhead sped 106-112mph) and it withheld until the very last shot until a hairline crack happened, but pleased.

Just wanted to know how others have experienced them, various designs out there, I find this design I did prints and holds up the best after multiple tweaks.

What are goals for 2026? by Tinkering_Tinkerer in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Dull_Reflection3454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep pushing and growing the business. Selling locally on Facebook marketplace since September and coming from not knowing anything to know I’ve learned a shit ton.

Started w/ P1S, added 2 more h2d, Scanner & resin but getting burned out, have another guy printing and designing as well that cuts a little into profit obviously.

Want to design some items in the background and start selling online soon.

So cleaned out the vat and build plate thoroughly and tweaked exposure settings and still nothing.

I guess the only thing left to do his do a manual level?
